In terms of COVID-19, well just look at the rapacious US healthcare system - which both parties prop-up. This situation exposes gaping holes in the system. Money for endless war, printing endless money at the FED but the richest country in the history of the world can't afford to take care of its own people.

A boogeyman narrative is being developed... China / the WHO / Russia / Bin Laden ...
and it will be sold to the American hook line and sinker. Blame the other, any other, but don't ever look at your own system or point the blame on decades of domestic policy. Blame an outsider. It's always a winning political strategy and a simple message people will follow if repeated enough.
Personally, I do not support the gov. of China or Russia or Trump or Biden and The WHO is corrupted, yes, knee deep in vaccine development.
