[Is a sacred Tree of the Arawak natives of Central Venezuela. It was the reincarnation of his Shamá in God. The term Shamá (Chief and Shamán ) derived in the word Samán. . They call it also Rain Tree since when it is going to rain and the sky darkens it closes its leaves to let the water pass towards its roots.]
