It saves time, money and energy since you almost never run out of fresh, ripe fruits when done right - buying fresh produce in bulk.
I am living location-independent as a digital nomad and the first thing to figure out at a new location is where to get the best fruits and veggies. And as you can see, I managed to get some great deals in my current home in Far North Queensland. At the markets I usually asked around for some boxes of fruit for a discounted price and this time got some flavorful papaya and organic bananas. And those mangoes are spray-free and so delicious, I picked up 10kg from a farm nearby when the season was full on.
And when you have a freezer, you don’t have to worry about buying too much which then goes to waste. You can easily freeze a part of it before turning overripe and use it for smoothies or nicecream later on. If you are not as lucky and you couldn’t eat a whole box of something you might want to share one with a fruit-loving friend to save some money for the next adventure.
What kind of fruit and veggies would you love to buy in bulk?
