What's your darkest shot?

There was a time this platform was filled with contests and giveaways.

It was easy to join and they were rather successful.
@heartbeat1515 started with a Photography contest and giveaway #6. This week's theme is "In the dark, it makes you happy.."
You can be as creative as you like if it comes to darkness and happiness and you do not need to be a pro to make a dark photo and add some words to it (yes, you need to explain the happiness or unhappiness part of the darkness).

I know the dark makes me happy it always did already as a little kid.
I loved to hide in the closets, the ceiling or behind the long curtains. (No, I never hid underneath a bed or table)
It also means I do not understand the "fear in the dark".

The darkness gives my mind peace and my brains the rest they need.
It is scientifically proved it works and that's the reason why a dark bedroom makes a better place to rest as a colorful one or worse white. Believe me, it's quite a shock to be born into a white room with sharp lights shining on you and it does cause stress. Light is a proven method to torture people with too.

Just closing my eyes is not dark enough for me. I can still see so I need to shut out all the light.

Black walls make a bedroom a better place to rest but black walls are a bit too much.
My daughter had dark purple walls for years (now red) and my walls are green, so are the tiles on the floor. One of my windows is closed with a shelf, both windows have blinds and black curtains. My lamp is black too. It doesn't give much light but it's enough for me. I seldom use is.

In the dark, wearing dark, it fits me.
Even as a kid I never had pink, yellow, orange or any pastel clothes. I hated the wallpaper with orange flowers my mother choose for my room. It does not fit me and makes me feel uncomfortable, unhappy.

I am not the love-to-be-in-the-middle-of-all-attention type of person. My life is fine in the dark. I do not need a shadow I am literally a night owl. The only thing light should bring me is some warmth.
