MakerDAO is rolling out a major update to its ecosystem called “Endgame,” which includes the launch of two new cryptocurrencies: NewStable (NST) and NewGovToken (NGT). These new versions of DAI and MKR are designed to improve the efficiency, staking, and reach of the protocol.

Key Launch Details:

  1. NewStable (NST):
This new stablecoin is intended to replace DAI in most future transactions. It will maintain a 1:1 peg with DAI, but NewStable is expected to have a broader focus, driving the expansion of the MakerDAO ecosystem. Despite this, DAI will still exist for specific applications.

  2. NewGovToken (NGT):
This token will replace the current MKR in governance functions, with an initial conversion of 1 MKR for 24,000 NGT. The purpose is to make governance more accessible and diversified, allowing more users to participate in important decisions of the protocol. NGT will also be key in new governance tools, which include AI-assisted voting mechanisms.

  3. Expansion Strategy:
The Endgame project aims to expand DAI's market capitalization to $100 billion or more, seeking to match competitors such as Tether. Additionally, MakerDAO plans to introduce SubDAOs, which will be semi-autonomous organizations within the ecosystem, each with its own token and specific purpose.

  4. AI Governance Tools:
An advanced phase of Endgame will integrate artificial intelligence tools to optimize governance, making the protocol more secure and efficient. These tools will allow real-time auditing of decisions and improve processes without the need for a central authority.

MakerDAO’s approach is to innovate to increase the adoption and resilience of its platform, ensuring that both users and developers can adapt and benefit from this evolution.
