There are two writers that I really like and they are very experts in their respective fields, one is a novelist and the other is a mangaka. In this contest I can't choose who is the best among them, because the genres are already different so it's illogical to compare the two of them. Let's review one by one.
Richard Russell "Rick" Riordan, Jr. was born in San Antonio Texas, June 5, 1964. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986, where he studied English and History. For fifteen years, he taught in schools in California and San Antonio source. He is the number one bestselling author according to the New York Times. This author has written a lot of fantasy books, detective stories, and mythology. But he is very famous for the fantasy genre, especially mythology.
His famous fantasy novels include Percy Jackson And The Olympians, Kane Chronicles, The Heroes Of Olympus, Magnus Chase And The Asgard Gods, Trial Of Apollo and many more. I got to know Rick Riordan's novel starting when I watched the Percy Jackson movie in 2010. Because I was curious about the novel, I finally read it. The sensation is very different from watching a movie, because many scenes have changed from the novel, that's normal in movies industry.
Rick Riordan was great, we were forced into the story, so we subconsciously followed the characters' thoughts. He is able to wrap the Mythology Stories from centuries ago with today's modern life, without us realizing it we are being invited to re-learn Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Scandinavian mythology which has not changed much from the past. His work that I really like is Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series which consists of 5 books, namely The Lightning Thief (2005), The Sea of Monsters (2006), The Titan's Curse (2007), The Battle of the Labyrinth (2008). , and The Last Olympian (2009). Of the five books, The Lightning Thief became my favorite, because it was from this book that I first got to know the fantasy world of mythology which eventually made me a big fan of Rick Riordan.

In addition, Percy is accused of stealing Zeus' lightning. Percy and his two friends, Annabeth who is Athena's daughter and Grover a satyr, go on a journey to find Zeus's lightning and have a time limit of 10 days to recover the lightning and prevent the war that was about to break out on Mount Olympus.

One Piece was published in Shonen Jump Magazine 1997, and managed to become the most popular manga not only in Japan but throughout the world.

The One Piece manga has not been completed until now, this actually missed Oda Sensei's predictions who did not expect the development of the One Piece story to this extent. This manga has been running for 24 years, and so far there is no sign that the manga will end.
One Piece is a story about a group of Straw Hat pirates led by Monkey D. Luffy as a stupid and silly captain but loyal and badass. This manga begin from Luffy's desire to become the Pirate King, but the Pirate King in his mind is different from the majority of people in One Piece. According to him, Pirate King is a free person in the ocean without being tied to anything. The Straw Hat Pirates are the best pirates in the entire ocean of One Piece, they don't like to commit crimes and often help others.
In this manga, Oda Sensei gives an illustration that those who are labeled as criminals are not necessarily criminals, and on the contrary law enforcers who are labeled as good actually abuse their power. There is an implied message that I got from this manga, good and bad someone is not determined by his side with the Marine or Pirates, but who side with humanity. Monkey D. Luffy and his Nakama are people who side with humanity.
