The Diary Game | 14 December 2024 | Polio Campaign Preparations, Market Errands, and Community Care

I hope everyone is well and enjoying their lives. As some of you may know, the polio campaign is starting in Pakistan on Monday. I am part of this polio campaign team and we will work for five days and administer polio drops to small children.

Today, we have brought our polio vaccine from our nearest main office so that on Sunday we can give this vaccine to all the workers and as soon as the day starts on Monday, they will go to work. We had to go and get all the polio vaccine and its products that will be used in our campaign.

We took the vaccine carrier with us and put two ice packs in it so that we could bring the polio vaccine. If we keep the polio vaccine in the fridge, it will spoil. So we took our polio vaccine carrier and put ice packs in it and brought it.

We went straight to our DHQ Hospital and from there we got the polio vaccine as per our list, which includes polio vaccine, telesheets, droppers, etc.

We arrived a little late, due to which many people had already left with the vaccine our late arrival proved to be beneficial for us because there was no rush here and we easily got our vaccine if there had been a rush here it would have been very difficult. We easily took the vaccine sheets from the store room and counted them. They were complete according to our telesheet. Then we took them with us and left the hospital.

We had come to Sahiwal city near us. I had two or three other things to do to get this vaccine. I thought I should do them on the way. I had to buy a belt for my brother. The belt, which we will get from Ali Traders shop, is of the best quality because earlier my brother has bought many types of belts but they are not durable and get damaged very quickly. I once bought my belt from Ali Trader and it has been almost six years and I am still using it. So I thought I would get my brother one from there too so that it can last for a good period.

To buy a belt, I went to a famous market in Sahiwal, Pakpattan Bazaar, which is very big and there was a lot of rush in it. Even pedestrians were facing difficulties because there was so much rush there. I went to this market and from there I went to Ally Traders shop. There were different types of belts displayed there. I bought a belt of my choice from them.

The belt I bought is soft and will not get damaged easily. These belts are usually large because people of all sizes have to wear them, so we have to adjust them according to our needs. The holes are small, but I made three more holes in the back so that my brother can wear them. After getting it pierced, I paid the price, which was six hundred and fifty rupees, and then left.

From there I walked to the main high street. There was a photo studio shop there. I wanted to get some of my photos made. The photo was of my grandfather who passed away a long time ago. We have these photos in his memory. I have a small photo but I want to make it bigger. For this, I went to this photo studio and told him that I wanted to take a big photo of him but I didn't want the result to be bad. He told me that don't worry, we will make it for you in HD quality.

These were pictures of my grandfather and my grandfather's brother. I had them made there, and they cost 600 rupees because one picture was made for 100 rupees. After taking pictures from here, I went straight to DHQ Hospital because my father was waiting for me there. We were supposed to leave for home together.

From there we returned home straight away and we thought that we would first go and keep the vaccine we had in the hospital in the freezer so that it would not spoil, so we covered a distance of 30 to 40 kilometers and reached our village. As soon as we reached the village, we went straight to our hospital.

Since the hospital's hours were until 2:00, it was already closed, but since we had the hospital keys, we went to the hospital, opened the locks, and went inside. We kept our vaccine in the freezer and kept our daily sheets and droppers on one side. Then we went home to rest for a while. The next day, we would deliver the vaccine to the workers according to their work schedules.

If we had rested for a while and had our lunch, I was just lying down when I got a call from my uncle. He told me that you should come to our house and we have some work to do. As soon as I reached his house, he said to take this rice to the mill so that it could be cleaned.

My cousin and I both picked up the rice and put it on the motorcycle and took turns to take it to the mill so that it could be cleaned because we had harvested the paddy and now we had prepared the rice for our home, so we will use this rice badly. The purpose of taking it there is that firstly it will be cleaned and secondly the good rice will be separated and the broken rice will be separated.

We picked up the rice from home, cleaned it, and brought it back home. After bringing it home, I went back to my house. As soon as I reached home, my mother told me that we needed chicken meat, which we had to cook in the evening.

From hthere I went straight to the chicken shop to get chicken meat from there. I went and checked the price of chicken meat and it was around 450 rupees. I bought two kilos of meat from there. After buying the meat, I brought it home and we cooked it in the evening.

This is how I spent my day today. I hope you enjoyed it. I had to sleep early last night so that I could wake up early in the morning. We had to wake up at 3 o'clock last night so that we could get up and prepare food during this time and take it to the mosque right after Fajr because the Quran is being read in detail in the mosque and a complete description of each verse is being given. There is a regular class every day. In this class, when a part of our Quran is completed, we serve breakfast to the people in celebration of it. We had to prepare that breakfast last night so that it could be delivered to the people at Fajr. That's why I went to bed early at night and then woke up at three in the morning and we prepared that breakfast.
