Padma River is one of the longest rivers in Bangladesh. It is known as the main tributary of the Ganga River. This river is an important river of Bangladesh. A lot of fish are available there every year; Hilsa of Padma River is known all over the world, crops are produced with the water of that river, and many goods are transported by sea through this river. A bridge has been built over this river which is named Padma Bridge after the river Padma. This bridge is one of the longest bridges in the world and the longest in Bangladesh. It is 6.15 km long. This bridge has a roadway and railway at the same time.
Yesterday I went on a boat trip on the Padma River. Many visitors flock there because the beauty of the Padmani River and Padma Bridge fascinate people. We first went from Dhaka to Mawa Ghat, from there hired a boat to travel down the river. Seeing the water of the huge river makes the eyes widen. Fishermen were fishing in the river, and various boats, speed boats, and steamers were plying. Across the river was the beauty of Kashful. The waves of the river in the soft afternoon breeze soothed my mind.
After passing by boat for a while we reach very close to Padma Bridge. The bridge is so big that you can't see from one end to the other. This bridge is contributing greatly to the people's transportation and economy of the southern part of Bangladesh. We went to the river and took some photos. Then, in the afternoon, I saw the sunset from the river. The scenes of that time seemed amazing to me.
