Greetings friends! How are you today? I believe you are all fine as I am. I want to take this moment to appreciate @dequeen for organising and sustaining this contest. Today, I participated in this contest by making a drawing titled "The Beauty of Africa", which I believe everyone in this community and the Steemit family will appreciate. Now my presentation.

The concept of my drawing today is to showcase the beauty of Africa. In the drawing, we can see the map of Africa, and on the map is a beautiful woman dressed in African attire. We can also see the mountains, trees, and vegetation on the map.

Materials For Drawing

• Plain A4 paper
• Pencils
• Eraser
• Sharpener

Step 1
I began by first writing my name and the date of today. I then drew a map of Africa. As I was drawing the map, I bear in mind how to position the beautiful African woman to fit into the map.

Step 2
I drew the map of Madagascar

Step 3
I sketched the beautiful African woman. I ketched her face, the headtie on her head, her ear and her neck.

Step 4
I drew the eyes of the woman, the nose and her mouth. I also ensured that I shaded them accordingly.

Step 5
I drew the eyelashes, the eyebrows, the beautiful lace on her forehead, and I also shaded the face.

Step 6
I drew her a beautiful necklace.

Step 7
I drew her earrings, I shaded the ears, the headtie and the neck of the woman.

Step 8
I drew and shaded the hairstyle on her head.

Step 9
I drew and shaded landscapes on the map, and I also shaded a stream of water.

Step 10
Lastly, I shaded some trees and vegetation. I also shaded the sky and Madagascar as a country.

**✅ How long did it take to complete your drawing, and how do you feel about it? **

It took me approximately 3 hours to have this drawing and I was so excited. I was excited because sometimes I find it difficult to start and finish drawing within this short time.

My inspiration to make this drawing was gotten from the social media (facebook to be precise). I saw a similar piece of art work and I replicate it using pencil and not colour.
