What a wonderful day to share with you all my photos of the day. I would also like to thank @ashkhan for the wonderful organization of this contest.
The photo dates back to the 245 Battalion AFI Barracks West Africa Social Activities. The West Africa Social Activities [WASA] is a yearly event that occurs every year during December or January. The last WASA celebration was Held on 28/12/2024. This is an event that consists of several West African cultural displays, which may include dance, drama, etc. A lot of activities were done, beginning with the Hausa tribe, Yoruba and Igbo tribes, etc.
This picture also shows a memory of us steemains together at the event. We had fun at the celebration. In the celebration, @onomzy001 was the king of his tribe and led the dance. You can see he is his cultural attire. This is a photo that I will never forget because it talks about togetherness and the joy of being friends. The celebration was going well, but it became more interesting when we met each other at the celebration; we all lived in the barracks.
The day was such a beautiful day, watching the soldiers display their abilities during the jug of war between the soldiers and the coopers. Of course, we all know that soldiers are going to win the jug of war. The challenge began with the females, i.e., the female coppers vs the female soldiers. The first round started, and the soldiers won; during the round, a copper fainted and was given medical attention immediately.
After that,t the second round began,n and it all started like the female coppers were going to win, but the female soldiers tied their seat belts and came out victoriously, winning the coppers. The time came for the male soldiers and male coppers.
The first round started,d and the soldiers won despite the round being tough; the second round came, and the male coppers had a great comeback and tied the game between the coppers and the soldiers. This leads to the final round, which only happens if both teams win in either the first or second round. The final round came and the soldiers and coppers fought till the male soldiers became victorious. This shows that soldiers will always be soldiers.
I would like to invite @bonaventure24, @anthony002, @saintpaul17, @josepha, and @simonnwigwe to participate in this contest.
Thanks for stopping by and reading this post.!!!!
Indeed it was a celebration to remember because I was the king of my tribe and also I was the one leading the group in terms of dancing and also the drama parts.
And also the rope drawing competition between the soliders and the coppers it indeed a great and lovely memories.
Thanks for bringing this to steemit.
