The Debate (no.34); Privacy should be given more importance in the digital age

Good day steemit panel of judges, accurate time keepers, organiser of debate @sahmie in this blog, co-steemit-debators, and my fellow Steemians who are privilege to be part of this amazing environment.

I'm @chisom77. I'm here to debate on a notion that says: Privacy should be given more importance in the digital age with the following points of mine.

• People can talk you down, when your private life has been revealed.

The best security one can offer is to protect his/her privacy. Nobody would become envious of you when your private life is covered. Social media has authomatically become a place for exposure. It is become a centre for promotion of insecurity through personal acts and displays.

Homes are broken when they become close to social activities. Secrets are no longer hidden anymore, mobile in-laws becomes the greatest fashioned entrepreneurs to counsel marital problems. Meanwhile, there's a huge flops in their cases.

If we can adopt the nature or an habit of been quiet over our private lives, we can aswell build dependency among ourselves.

• An encrypted private life produces an everlasting life.

This is somehow bizzare for some people, because they haven't build such evidence. An encrypted private life truly produces an everlasting life. Even the Bible itself admonishes us not to reveal our secrets to others. That shows you how potentially your secret is. That shows you how potentially privacy is important to you.

Checkout those that have exposed their privacy, what are the aftermaths? They are numerous. Some can't even sleep in their wedded mansions. Some can't even operate without physical securities guarding them. That shows you how deficiency in keeping your secrets matters.

We can only secure our nations, if there's a system were our privacy would not be exposed to foreigners or antigenic humans. Let's picture some Governors. Every rulers are gifted with a role to play in the state. The only way that role can successfully be accomplished is if the governor embrace privacy.

Take a look at the former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Governor Godswill Akpabio. Out of the abundant of things he created in the state, STADIUM is the most expensive structure to carryout. If he had exposed this secrets to the neighbouring states, I guess, there must've been an assassin.

He wouldn't have been able to accomplish such task. Today, Akwa Ibom state happens to produce the most incomparable stadium in Africa. Think about that.

How about the current governor of Abia State. I can't recall his name at the moment. But this man is doing wonders in the state, soonest, Abia State will become the second Dubai in Africa. Think about that. Privacy makes things easier for everyone.

If you are blessed by God, don't expose the source of your wealth online, don't even let your associate know how come. There are lot of wealthy men and women here and beyond that are doing massively. They haven't exposed themselves to mobile in-laws and you see them prospering in every field.

The secret about life lies on the bed of private life.

Before I conclude, I want to throw a little light on the given questions:

Privacy = Security

Both intersect dependently. Security cannot do without privacy. Although privacy can operate frequently without security. I can be rich or wealthy and then due to some reasons that my wealth is not exposed, I can frequently move and walk on the street without been void of fear. Others will only notice my rich pocket to some extend, but it won't be evident that I'm potentially rich or wealthy.

I can be a student and also be an influencer that generates billions. I can still keep shut without been noticeable. The truths about digital life is so ambiguous that everyone want to showcase themselves as kings of networks. You will be more secure when your privacy is secured.

Like I said earlier, the benefits of prioritizing privacy is protection from secular thief's.

And the risks of prioritizing privacy is that your problems would be unknown to people with voluntary spirits.

Certain laws help to restrict one from manifesting in desirous manner. I believe above all these quotations, there are policy laws that govern certain social environment, and if this laws can be fully respected, there will a balance in ones privacy.

Yes! Technology advancements can maintain security while respecting privacy. But if privacy is not respected, there will a leakage that will spread ones activities to the antigenic humans around.

The best way to handle this is to create a privacy policy system that one's there's a flout or deviation of it, such individual receives the payback.

In conclusion, I believe I've been able to convince and not to confuse my panel of judges and my fellow Steemians that privacy should be given more importance in the digital age. Thankyou.
