Day to day, I realize that am occupied by several things in different social media sites. One site, I frequent is Steemit. After waking up in the morning I first log into Steemit platform read through comments pertaining to my posts or to engage with other users on the platform and I also invest time in curation to vote good and informative post, and explore new and more exciting posts from other users.

Apart from Steemit, I am also active in other social networks like Facebook, twitter and through the whatsApp application. On Facebook I engage with friends, and my family members, share the day to event, the moments I capture in a day, do with the various groups which I belong to according to my interests. And from my own perspective, I can get the latest information, trends, interact with other like-minded people, influential people as well as express my ideas to other people on the Twitter and talking about WhatsApp it's the application I use for interaction and sharing of information with friends, colleagues as well as other people in real-time.

Throughly there is no doubts that social media plays an essential role in our lives because looking at the definition of social media, it is impossible to underestimate its impact on the modern world and people’s lives particularly in terms of communication and information exchange so it connects people irrespective of distance barriers and language, as we can create friendships, and get access to a vast amount of information in a short space of time.

Then, social media has also emerged significant means of networking, marketing and self-promotion and this means it allows talents, skills, and achievements to be put to the open for others to see and it can be accessed by a highly diverse audience as compared to the past, In today’s business environments, social media presents a number of advantages for use in interacting with customers, in advertising and in establishing customer loyalty.

Altogether, social networks occupy a central position in our existence presenting boundless means to link and develop, Starting from blogging on steemit, sharing updates of life on Facebook, to making tweets on the twitter handle, social media has ceased to be a tool of communication in today’s world.
