Which do u prefer: working from home or the office?

To me I prefer working at home because I can create a better working environment for myself I can organize my environment in a way that will be more suitable for me hence leading to effective working and also flexibility of work from home is convenient because there is no tension from commuting and it saves much time for learning or relaxation.

Again being in familiar place minimizes distractions and improves the mental health of the attendees employment from home benefits in this regard as most of the time the interactions between business and the outside world are well managed and do not interfere with my private life so on my opinion, home atmosphere is less stressful and allows to do more work.

Does working from home boost your productivity?

Yes working at home creates a positive impact on me and it does away with the tiring and time-consuming exercise of rushing to work, which makes I begin my day in a better way and I feel that having minimal noise, and individual parties on either side of the wall assists me stay focused and minimize workplace noise.

I also enjoy the freedom I have in choosing how my day will progress especially if I organize myself based on the ups and downswings of my productivity, also I am free to take a a short yet productive break and rest since there are no office bureaucratic procedures. So there are fewer distractions, more ideal environment that is suited for my needs, therefore, I am able to accomplish work within the shortest time possible and at the same time, have high concentration levels throughout the day.

How does the office environment affect your mood?

Sensing that their physical surroundings contributes directly to mood, workers avoid offices yes and I do as well, a good atmosphere or well illuminated and well arranged interior décor will always have an impact on the mood and productivity of the people in that room. Lack of or positive interaction with colleagues are very influential seriously, positive interactions boost moral while negative interactions make the atmosphere tense.

Another physical factor is noise, and it will be admitted that too high a noise level is disturbing whereas, on the contrary, a low noise level enhances concentration. The outside environment of staff members including leadership style plays a similar role- encouragement has an impact on mood similar to recognition while frustrations such as from micromanagement take a similar impact and so to me the office environment has a direct impact on me and i can also say for some staffs as well and sometimes it can either inspire or discourage them.

Do you miss social interactions when working remotely?

Yes, I do to some extent miss my social interactions with people when working remotely, what I always go through, I can work from home for sometime for a very long time and the simple chitchat with colleagues, debriefing, and laughing at jokes during work is one of the things that I'm missing every day and its boring 😴.

In the office, they instill togetherness, relations, development, and in most cases result in solutions through interaction but at home I always feel moody, there are no chit chats or discussion in the middle of the day. Working from an office is having many co-workers around you fills the workplace with energy and all the employees working together make it a special experience we know that social interactions are an essential aspect of working, and I can attest that there is always a loss of this spirit when working remotely.

My idea work setup are listed below 👇.

A quiet, clutter-free area with a comfortable desk and ergonomic chair.

High-speed internet, a good laptop/PC, and necessary peripherals like my smartphone or webcam.

Steady natural electricity.
