Hey friends,
I'm glad to be back in steemit. I faced a lot of challenges that eventually took me away from steemit and I'm glad to pull through.

This topic sounds so interesting to me and here is my submission.

When faced with a difficult situation, would you rather follow your heart or your head?

Let me begin with providing explanations to the head and heart.

The heart is an organ that is responsible for the pumping and circulation of blood in our cells. The heart sends blood and nutrients to all parts of our body. It is also responsible for carrying away unwanted waste products and carbon dioxide from our bodies.

On the other hand, the head is the home cell that carries most of the sensory organs. This includes; the eyes, ears, nose, etc. The amazing part of the head is that it contains the brain.

The brain, on the other hand, is the major part of the human organ used for reasoning. The brain is also seen to be a complex organ that controls visions, breath, emotion, thoughts touch, memory, and every process that regulates our body.

There is a saying that follows " Follow your heart and not your brain"

I always doubt the potency of this word. How can one follow something that cannot control reasoning? A heart is likened to a captivator that can only capture something and once that is done, it is moved towards such things without putting some elements into consideration.

The head which consists of the brain, the center of reasoning, does not only move by things seen, it controls the thoughts, emotions, memory, visions thereby putting up enough reasonings to go for the best alternative.

Inasmuch, as the heart jumps into what it sees or thinks, the head, occupied with the brain, goes for what is best.

This display comes to reality when a young lady wants to marry. In the course of choosing a suitor, some would tell her to go for what her heart wants while others would tell her to use her head.

Using her head here means to think deeply and consider certain things and not jumping into such a marriage because his heart has gone for the man. After a careful study of the notion, I came to understand that those who use their head make the best choice unlike those who are moved by their heart.

Furthermore, when one wants to make critical life decisions, he invariably works with his head. The saying that he who wants to build a house should first of all count the cost, is not achieved with the heart. It demands the functions of the brain. Planning is basically the work of the brain and hence engaging the brain over the heart yield positive results.

With these few points, I still maintain my stand that I would always go with my head and not my heart.
