Hello steemians..
am excited about this particular challenge as it'll afford me the opportunity to do what I love doing best, that being directing people on the right choices for them to make.

Regardless, seeing the sensitivity of this topic I need to specify that this is strictly my own point of view and therefore may or may not serve as a guide in various works of life.

Before i give my points I would like to in my own words describe the two words that we are debating about.

WHAT IS RICHES?
Riches is the state of having material things in abundance.
that means a man can be said to be rich when he has money, material things and any thing that has market value in abundance.
Being Rich has been the context of mankind since time began and as far as the history of humankind is concerned, the Rich will always exist, so will the poor.

People have been so much influenced by the wave of people getting rich and making certain levels of influence in the society that they would do about anything to become rich.
The rich oppress the poor and break laws just because they could. And after observing this over the years, the younglings of generations to come are led to believe that when you are Rich you have every thing you need in life.
But I beg to differ.
Let's talk about Happiness.

WHAT CAN WE SAY IS HAPPINESS?
Happiness is an emotional and psychological expression of Joy and contentment.
Happiness is an inward feeling of the soul that makes a person feel good.
In a state of Happiness everything else doesn't seem to matter.

WHY IS HAPPINESS BETTER THAN RICHES
I will always go for HAPPINESS over RICHES over and over again and here are some reasons Why

  1. Riches is not True wealth.
I think this can serve as the single most important reason why I would go for happiness any time.
True wealth is a thing OF THE INSIDE as even riches is acquired when a man is wealthy.
here are some things that when combined can relate to as True Wealth
    _ Health
    _ Profitable relationships
    _ Family
    _ Good name (integrity)
    _ Favour

  2. You can Lose your Riches
Everything external can be lost over time or in a single day.
I have encountered countless cases were Rich people eventually became poor and helpless.
They lost everything they owned and went back to square one.
if it's something you can lose, then you don't really have it.

  3. Money cannot buy everything
even though this statement has been down played over the years ...it still remains a true saying.
Happiness however is a fetcher of everything.

  4. Being Rich does not stop you from wanting More
"Want" is the single word accustomed to being poor.. the more you get the more you want ..
happiness makes you content with the little you have.

  5. Being Rich Does not Guarantee a Right state of Mind
the rich everyday still get depressed and commit suicide.
more suicidal cases are rich people.
so..what do the rich really need?
    they need Joy and Happiness.

IN CONCLUSION
Happiness may not be everything you want..
but it's everything you need.

You're absolutely right my friend. While happiness may not fulfill every single desire or want we have, it is, without a doubt, something that we all need in our lives. Happiness brings us a sense of contentment, joy, and fulfillment that nothing else can truly provide. It's like the essential ingredient that makes life meaningful and worthwhile. So, even if we may not have everything we want, as long as we have happiness, we have what we truly need. It's the key to a fulfilling and satisfying life.
