The news flash was a shock to me because it came to me when I least expected it. It was about my uncle who we met just about 2 days before the incident. He always calls me Daddy because he said I bear the same name as his father.

After meeting with him to discuss my next move in line with my studies, he told me to go ahead and look for admission to any school of my choice within the country where he would sponsor me. He told me that what his father planned to do for him which the cold hands of death couldn't allow him to do is what he will do for me.

I was so happy and excited because such assurance was what I needed to make my next move in line with my education. We talked and I went ahead to purchase the jamb form.

Two days after our discussion I had a call from an unknown number usually I don't pick up the calls if Truecaller doesn't show the name of the caller but this time I decided to pick up.

When I picked up the call, all I heard was cry I was busy shouting hello, hello. Seeing that there was no response, I cut the call and then called the user back this time a different person picked up and told me that my uncle had a car crash and he was no more.

When I heard that, I knew that my world had come to a standstill. I was wondering how and where I would start because that was the only hope I had. I quickly recall the story he gave me about his father as well.

It was a period of sober reflection for me because I didn't know what exactly to do during that period. So I stood for some minutes silent and was imagining myself and my uncle. After much thought and reflection, I had to accept my faith and then move ahead.

What came to my mind was that could have been me because death is not a respecter of anyone. I learned to always remain prepared because you never can tell when exactly you will be called from the surface of this world.

So I braced up and then I began to push ahead because it did on me that everyone on earth has his or her journey and when going back to the creator you must go back alone. I still had faith in going to school but not maybe as soon as I thought.
