It's another day of the week, and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @sahmie, which talks about Home or Office; which is your preferred workspace. I will be making my entry below, so read through it and drop your valuable comment, as it will be appreciated.

Which do you prefer: working from home or the office?

I prefer working from the office to working from home and the reason is because working from the office gives me a sense of responsibility that I have a task at hand to finish and for that reason I will stand firmly to ensure that I carry out that task.

This is not thesame from working at home because I will feel I'm not under any supervision and for that reason I will decide to do the work at anytime. This causes laziness and also inability to achieve some success.

So based on the above question, my preference to work is the office not my home and the reason I have also discuss above. This is due to my personal experience and I know others may have a contrary opinion to mine.

Does working from home boost your productivity?

Oh no. Working from home doesn't boost my productivity at all instead it makes me less productive because of the environment I find myself and the lack of supervision. As said earlier, while at the office, you will have this sense of responsibility that you have come to carry out your work and for that reason you will do it perfectly well.

You whole attention will be centered on the work you have come to do but while at your home this may not be case and you will feel you can do the work anytime you want and sometimes this lead to lots of procrastination which ends up making us lazy and less productive.

How does the office environment affect your mood?

The mood of working is highly affected by the office environment because the work or task that brought you there is well defined. You know that your job there is to ensure you carry out the said task effectively hence you will only focus on that.

Office is define as a place to work and since there is a period to resume and a period to close, you will always time yourself and always work with the time you have to achieve success. Without a proper timing it becomes difficult or impossible to achieve success.

So the office gives you that sense of timing and alerts you when you should do a particular task as if you don't do it before the close of work you too will feel you have failed for the day.

Do you miss social interactions when working remotely?

Of course while working from home you will miss the social interaction with your colleagues and others around. It is important to state here that no matter how busy you are, there are period when you just need to have a little chat with people around.

So working alone from home doesn't permit this and this is the reason why I have chose the office in the very first place. While working from the office if you have any challenge it is easier to locate a collegeau and than be guided than to be alone searching for solutions.

What’s your ideal work setup?

My ideal work setup is an office where I have my system and comfortable chair and a table and possibly have a coffee by the side of the office or always get it from the secretary or receptionist.

Coffee helps me a lot to think normal and work more efficiently and that is why anytime I'm in the office for any work, I need coffee to aid me work more perfectly. I also love eating snacks to keep me busy for a longer time.

So getting a coffee and snacks in a setting that has a good table and chair is my ideal work setup that aid me to work more effectively.
