The issue of workspace is worth debating upon especially due to the versatility and nature of work.

Which do you prefer: working from home or the office?

Personally, I prefer office workspace to working from home.
Office space gives this work spirit. When working at the office, one tends to be so focused and dedicated to task in order to achieve results and feel satisfaction at the end of the days work.
Dressing is another factor which seems to enhance ones confidence. Puting on office wears gives work confidence and this cannot really be achieved at home. Dressing up to stay at home seems like a waste.

Does working from home boost your productivity?

While certain jobs seems okay doing at home, most jobs are better done in offices to boost productivity and foster team spirit.
As a student architect, my productivity level is relatively low when working at home as compared to working at school with my colleagues or in an office space.
This is because, while working in an office or with my colleagues, I get motivated, compare ideas, seek immediate solution to errors, interact, amongst other things.
There's this boost that comes from looking around you and seeing people still thriving when you feel like giving up. This is one of the benefits offices provide.
While at home, one tends to be overly comfortable and easily give in to distractions. Unless the person goes though the process of acquiring self control.

How does the office environment affect your mood?

In architecture, spaces are design to suit the purpose built. Ranging from the interior, the size of headroom, the square metres of the room, even the furnishing differs according to the various function of the building.
In offices, the headroom is usually higher and the colour and decoration used is meant to promote trust and gear focus and productivity from the workers as well as the lightings creating a calming yet professional ambience.
This is contrary to the design of residential buildings (home) which the main consideration is comfort. Designed according to client's requirements.
The office environment puts one in a professional mood with the morale to meet expectations and deadline.
It makes me feel serious and ready to achieve a lot.

Do you miss social interactions when working remotely?

No!
Social interactions is not really ethical at work. Most remote workers makes plan for social activities and interaction so they don't feel left behind. And there's provision to communicate virtually with coworkers. In the aspect of communication, this is not seamless and might require efforts while slowing down work force.

What’s your ideal work setup

My ideal work setup is an office.
And the walls painted white or an appealing wallpaper design with brown executive desk and swivel chair, a dedicated graphics card gaming system on top of the desk, files, printing machine, shelves and portfolio. Surrounded by coworkers. Probably a sofa, freezer, television set, and everything required to provide minimal comfort suitable for offices.

The relevance of working in an office cannot be overemphasized. Work is to office and shelter is to homes. More so, people who work from home creates a mini office as a kind of work station to dive into the working spirit.
Working anywhere might be due to basic reason, but working in an office boost more productivity.
