The Debate (no.34); security vs privacy

Hello beautiful and astounding steemian across the globe 🌍 Greetings to you all. My regards to the panel and the organizer of this amazing debate in the place of @sahmie. I remain @mbetobongluke and I'm super excited to participate in this amazing community.
Once again thankyou @sahmie for making this debate open for us all.
Walk with me let me state and give reasons why I prefer privacy to security. And I hope you guys will key into my opinion.

Security and privacy play an important role in our life. However, there's a big different there.

Security is a state of being free from danger or threat.
We can say a state of safety or certainty. It can be a measure taken to be safe and protected.

Without going further, let also look at my area of interest which is privacy

Privacy is a state in which one / an individual is not observed or disturbed by other person. It's one of the right which I love most which has to do with one not interfering or observing what another is doing. These has to do with secrecy. In which all your data is guarantee.
The most intriguing fact is that, people can easily take you down when your private life has been revealed (which is very dangerous)
I trust the best security is one protecting his or herself.
Privacy rights help maintain social boundaries. Everyone has things they don't want certain people to know. Having the right to establish boundaries is important for healthy relationships and careers. In the past, putting up boundaries simply meant choosing to not talk about specific topics or things to certain people.

Those who say, “what do I have to hide?, I’m an open book!”. You would really regret it if you don’t read it now and find this answer after like 10 years from now, so take a moment from your busy life and read it!

Privacy is something that you should take care of just like you do in case of gold!

Actually, privacy matters a lot for a happy and secure life.

In today's world, information is wealth, and I strongly believe you would not like to voluntarily be someone’s source of income or privacy without your knowledge.

Let me tell you what I do not like; I myself don’t like if someone takes my photo (Not even in any function!). I specifically said this. I usually also don’t disclose my password 🔑 as well.

Now people may ask? Or you may have a question in your mind i.e.What’s wrong with the photo?

There’s nothing wrong with normal photography, but what I believe is, ”just one mistake(or we can say foolishness!) and every single step that you took for your privacy doesn’t matter anymore!
Take for instance you are on a tour and you upload the images on social media. Wait, is there anything wrong with sharing images? The answer is NO, but just until now. Now, what if the thief is smart enough and takes advantage of that and robs your house! That’s when you know the real value of privacy.

With the following definition and point of mine, I strongly believe privacy should be given more priority over security in today's digital age.

That's another tough question, but I think if that's the only choice, privacy is premier. National security is too big of an umbrella for any agency to operate. We as individual have to take step in securing ourselves which has to do with privacy.
Although both are equally important because national security protects the country as a whole from other countries whereas privacy protects the individual. If personal privacy of a political person is invaded, it could affect national security. So both are important. But one need to be fully taken care of which is PRIVACY.
Privacy is more important. The rights of individuals comes first. If the government wants to gather information from people, then they can ask. We then have the obligation to say yes or no, depending on the situation.

At first, an increase in the value of individual privacy enables one to remain independently and protect data from invasion.
Data security is becoming increasingly important for all types of organizations as time passes. While it was considered a lower priority over the years, many businesses now consider data security to be a requirement for market survival.
However, security and privacy should be maintained at a moderate level and respect people's rights.
If we can adopt the nature or habitat of being quiet in our private life, we can as well build a strong bond among ourselves which is (dependency).

Let’s start with privacy. I think it is safe to say that we technically have dramatically less privacy. Given the volume of news reports about it, I am sure most people understand that their computers and smart devices are constantly observing them and reporting back their observations.
Many of us have seen and experienced where a conversation we had with someone face to face was heard over a mic.
With that said however, the thing that truly amazes me is not how much privacy we have lost, but how much we have given away. Social media has such an incredibly deep presence in most peoples lives, that they don’t really understand, or care, how much exposure we have.
However, security at the same time is assured through some aspects like biometric and artificial intelligence in which techniques like encryption protect data during the transmission and storage so that most importantly , individual privacy and right are protected

This can be reduced by the use of regular software updates to ensure that your operating system, i.e all applications, and antivirus software have the latest security patches with regular updates.
On the other hand, Privacy settings can also help by regular review and update privacy settings on social media platforms and other online services.
I think this strategies can further help or reduce the challenges we faced in the digital privacy and security.

In conclusion, both security and privacy intersect independently, and security cannot do without privacy.
But privacy can operate frequently on his own.
Therefore, you will be more secured when your privacy is secure 🔐
If we all can adopt the nature and habit of being quiet over our private life, we as a whole can build dependency among us.
I trust, I have been able to convince my fellow steemians with the following point of mine that privacy is more guarantee than security in today's digital age.
