The Diary Game || 22/12/2024 || Sentforth Ceremony Of My Pastor and A Display of Fashion through Photography

Let me start by saying Happy Sunday from Last Sunday, a very religious day in Nigeria and most parts of the world...

^{Pastor and Wife}

It has not always been as planned; we set plans, but they became distorted by some unseen forces, and we can't help but postpone them. Today, as the almighty may have it, our proposed plan came to reality. What do you think it was?, Hold on, we have a regular tradition in our local churches pastor are posted occasionally some last for 1 year, some stay for over 2 years and some even more, when the resident pastor is transfered another takes his place, this is how it is done in Assemblies of God, Nigeria. I am sure the same is the case in the United States.

As the local church culture is, whenever a pastor is sent forth, we plan to send them forth the same way you will send those kids who are graduating from high school to the university, but this time more maturely and only for a specific family (the pastor).

Like I said earlier, it is the sent-forth ceremony of my former pastor, the one that preceded the last two pastors, including the present one. Personally, I am grateful for sending this pastor forth because it has been over 5 years since we met, and during his tenure he made great contributions to the church; he brought unity, his social life made the youth active, and his prayerful nature made a way for many. A lot of people got employed and appreciated him with a token of gratitude and returned praises to God.

We all gathered as it was supposed to be; the Sunday school ended (a short Bible class of about an hour before the main service?). , after all was said and done, the praises, offerings, and intercession, the pastor has not yet arrived, so we waited for him; it's his day, so we can't proceed without him.

	The Package

On arrival I noticed that my pastor, who left our church with 2 kids, is back with 3 additional, making it 5, all girls with only 1 boy. The kids were so grown up; I can only remember courage and prudence; the rest I got to know their names after the church. I see growth, progress, and upliftment in this man of God. One thing I learnt from him is humility; no matter the heights attained, it is very pertinent to note that humility can push you far and even to your destination. This man respected the elders in the church, heeded advice from superiors, took correction, and also played his part. As the head of this local church, he also made sure everyone was on the right path, doing what seems deemed fit. I love this man of God.

Members of the Church were called to the high table, already set and furnished with soft drinks to show how organised the program is. After all dignitaries were called to the high table, the chairman was asked to speak and, in the same vein, make his monetary contribution to this pastor's sendoff. The rest at the high table followed the same trend, making valuable contributions and a proclaiming encomium. My dad was called to speak too as one of the Church committee in his tenure. I was a witness of the excellent things this man of God did, so I can, in the same vein, commend him for his good works.

A very reputable man in the government, the director of tricycle in Akwa Ibom, was present to grace this occasion and also as a committee member during his tenure before relocating to Uyo, so his role here, aside from making personal contributions to the pastor, was to present before him the big envelope; this will serve as a Christmas gift to this family, settling the new session school fee wouldn't be a problem for them. God bless the Church for making sure this Oblige is followed.
