Hello everyone, it's a good thing to be here at this point to contribute my knowledge of the topic "Memories". So I implore you to relax as we dive into the matter of the day.
Memory is one facility common to all humans, a record of things or events sheltered and available for remembrance. It makes life beautiful and puts a smile on our faces mostly those good memories.
Memories are a combination of events, experiences, witnesses, and happenings that make us who and what we are. While our maturity is a prime product of our experiences, our life storyline is that of our memories.
Memories make things such as events, experiences, activities, people, places, eyewitnesses, etc, unforgettable. These are things that should commonly be forgotten but memories make them immortal.
Human existence revolves around memories, without memories, a lot of things would have gone into extinction. Whatever was passed down to us, whatever we'll pass down to our children, the stories we tell, the advice we give are all products of memories.
We can advise our children and younger ones because we've crossed their stage and had our experiences. These experiences which are the basis of our admonition are there because memory didn't let go of them.
We can take precautions to avoid reoccurrences due to our previous ugly experiences and we also put more effort into improving outputs and performances due to previous good experiences. All these are obtainable because of the role memory is playing.
Therefore, I will categorically and technically say that memories play an undeniably important role in the lives of every living human.
A lot of events took place last year, I attended lots of events, engaged in so many activities, and witnessed a lot of happenings but one event that is so memorable to me above all was our church's annual women's praise day.
Funny as it may, I attended the same event for 2022 without our uniform not that I couldn't afford it but because I wanted hubby to and unfortunately due to lots of projects he was tackling he didn't buy it.
Surprisingly, towards the end of the second quarter of the year while the program was approaching, one evening I got a credit alert, it was from hubby and the description was 'uniform money', I felt so excited.
The event was successful regardless of the challenges. A good number of us couldn't turn up for the event but we had more guests. Despite our small number, we were able to present all the activities we prepared for, and all our guests were properly taken care of. Above we met our goal for the year out of the event.
Sincerely speaking the worst memory of 2023 that has proven to be indelible is a fatal accident I witnessed in the third quarter of the year.
The accident involved a 20ft container, a Sienna bus, and tricycles with the container falling and smashing a boy's head on the tarred road. While many died, lots were fatally injured.
I remember vividly the severe headache, fever and loss of appetite I had resulting from witnessing the accident, hell no, it was a very ugly scenario no one could wish for.
