Democracy or dictatorship: Which is better for stability and progress?

Democracy is a system of government which allows the whole citizen to be involved in elections of their leaders and the are also involves in the decision making of their country for it growth and progress.

In simple terms democracy is the government of the people, for the people and by the people. That is majority carries the vote in any decisions making.

Whereas dictatorship is a system of government whereby an individual or group of individuals have the power and authority to make decisions for the majority. What so ever this minority decides affect the majority population in dictatorship.

Therefore in my own opinion I think democracy is better for stability and progress because it promotes equality among it citizens, i.e every individual enjoys equal right and privileges, it gives room for corrections of mistakes, the dignity of individual are highly protected, conflicts are easily resolved if there is any thay arise in the country, decisions are usually more appropriate and effective in democratic system,

In summary, all this and many more reasons are why democracy is better than dictatorship for stability and progress.

How does democracy help a country move forward compared to a dictatorship?

Democracy help a country move forward compared to a dictatorship because it gives room for contributions of ideas, advice are been heard and used in democracy, it allows every citizen to express his/ her self freely.

We all know that a tree cannot make a forest and also two heads are better than one. So when every comes with his or her ideas it will make the country move forward, than when a person will take decision for everyone.

This are the little ways in which I think democracy help a country move forward compared to a dictatorship.

Can a dictatorship handle tough times better than a democracy?

Yes. I think dictatorship can handle tough time better than democracy. Cause during tough time when you will wait for everyone to come up with his or her suggestion or contributions it will consume a whole lot time.

Therefore, in tough times you will need just an individual or few individuals i.e the minority who are full of wisdom to take actions and decisions in order to solve and calm the tough situation, making it more faster and easier rather than waiting for the majority to be involved in the situation.

Why is personal freedom important for a country to grow under different types of governments?

Personal freedom is important for growth under different types of governments because,

It enables individuals to take charge of their lives and come out with their unique characteristics and ideas freely resulting to a more vibrant and dynamic country where progress, creativity and innovation can flow effectively and efficiently.

Personal freedom is also important because it allows citizens (people) to build their own lives with meaning and purpose without being scared that they might be stopped from exploring their potentials and this usually creates a healthy community and productive societies.

Lastly, democracy is the better option if a country want to be stable and to progress.

I hope I have been able to convince you with this few points of mine that democracy is better for stability and progress than dictatorship!
