Hello steemians how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day, today I will be participating in a debate contest organize by @sahmie with the theme "Which is better, Book Smart or Street Smart?"
In my today's entry I will be sharing with you all between book smart and street smart which base on my knowledge I think is more better, though it's just a debate so please do not take it too personal.
Book Smart VS Street Smart
This is indeed an interesting contest which is very thought provoking, this has been the greatest mindset which has been baveling so many of us deep inside
Book smart is indeed an interesting choice of intelligence coupled with our today's beliefs that education is the key to success but to me personally I think that having academic knowledge and excelling in formal education isn't just enough for survival.
Now speaking of survival and as we know that a man is not a man until he fights survival and wins and in this case what is survival you may ask? Then I will tell you that survival in this case means the act of being able to pull through life difficulties and strives.
For a street smart individual will be able to combine formal conciousness (education) with casualties (street life) in other to survive effectively in the real world.
Which we all know that it takes more than educational knowledge in other to be able to survive in the real world, take government as an act of governing for an example for a leader can never lead effectively without the legitimate acceptance/recognition from the people (street)
Formal knowledge is necessary only to the extent were street knowledge start, for a man who studied business in school will need more than academic consciousness to be able to run his or her business in the street.
That is why for the sake of this debate I sincerely think that street smart otherwise called street conciousness is far more better than book smart for a person who understands the street way of life is more likely to survive better when it comes to facing life's challenges head on as compared to book smart.
Now let me give you another example book smart vs street smart contesting in an election for executive power in a democratic setting, you will see a book smart claiming to be wise but ignorantly pursuing his or her campaign process by paying homage to village heads and other chifes.
Meanwhile a street smart aspirants will definitely go deep into the street to the extent of stooping his or her self so low to the point of working from shops to shops sitting with market women gaining their love and in the end you will see that street smart aspirant will definitely win the book smart aspirants.
So for this reason I sincerely think that once again street smart is definitely more better than book smart because street smart and survival works hand in hand for effective coexistence
Conclusion
This will be the end of my entry and I hope that with the few listed out points that I have been able to convince you all that street smart is far more better than book 📚 smart.
