It's your favorite Steemian @rakiya from Nigeria and I'm delighted to join in this contest organized by @drhira in this noble community today. It's a wonderful contest and I love to share my participation in it.
Social media has become an important aspect of our lives as people because daily, we always find ourselves on social media either learning entertainment, or chatting. So there are many things we do on social media as people and this is my daily routine as well.
Before I joined the Steemit platform, my favorite social media platform was Facebook because I always share my pictures on Facebook to get many likes and comments, and also I see a lot of people who share their posts and entertain us with their comedies and many more.
I'm a Facebook lover because I have learned a lot from the platform, especially about the Christian faith where I see people explaining how the Bible is and some valid arguments to prove a point about religion. This has made me a better Christian because I have gained sufficient knowledge over the past few years I was on Facebook steadily.
Though I wasn't earning anything like an incentive on the platform I was being entertained and also I was learning via other people's publications. When I got to know about the Steemit platform as a student, it became my favorite because it is a learn-and-earn platform in which you don't need too much of criteria before you can start earning.
Seeing how the platform was very rewarding for people who share their knowledge I was amazed and I decided that it was the best option for me for that reason, I will ensure to give my all to the platform instead of spending much time on Facebook as usual. I still go to Facebook because there are some news flash and other things that I don't see on Steemit but Steemit has impacted my life as a person.
So based on all I have written in this contest, you will get to know that I'm a lover of social media and I always try daily to ensure that I get updates and also read and learn something new from either Facebook or from the Steemit platform. So that is all about my story and social media. I hope you enjoy reading through my blog.
