The Debate (no.42); Bounce and Score 🏀

Assalamualaikum Everyone

I guess a Nigerian can also greet like this in steemit 🙂 anyway I have greeted like this before probably one year ago. I derive joy in talking about sports in steemit because I always have alot to say. This is a very nice contest and I will try my best to ensure that my entry catches the eyes of everyone. Basketball is my favorite sport and I have been looking for a way to buy this ball, I guess that will be next year.

Basketball my favorite

This is a sport that have to do with a bouncing ball with a high net which means the sport is more favorable to taller sets of people, if you aren't tall you might get tired before the tall ones that are strong, anyway that's possible if you aren't strong as the tall ones. The sport is stress-free for tall people, forget the ones you see in the streets or some schools, a standard basketball court has a very high net.

The sport contains 5 players each in every teams, they try their best to put the ball in the net as much as they can and also avoid their opponents from putting the ball in their own net which isn't easy at all because our opponents are also strong like us and a team gets lucky anytime they meet another thing that's not very strong and skillful in basketball.

Basketball 🏀 in my life

I started playing basketball in the year 2022, I never had interest in this sport since my childhood, I have always loved karate but when I watched a Japanese anime about basketball in the year 2022, I got so attracted to the sport, fuel team spirit of the players really got me so excited and it was as if am in the seasonal movie, I fell in love with this sport immediately.

I started playing basketball in a team quite far from home because the basketball court in my area is very bad and the government has refused to fix it. After sometime I got tired of the team I was, they were playing too much politics, they always want their friends to play and am the second youngest guy there, my mates aren't there and if I continue tough like that I might get alot of injuries, some of them are up to 30 years old.

I stopped going there for more than one year because the cost of transportation increased. The coach even motivated me to be back and I told him I will be back when have settled down a bit and mastered much skills. I got so excited when my classmate during high school days finally bought a basketball, we began to go to his house and we will play basketball in his street but we always get distracted by cars that were driving by.

We were just 5 in number, the rest of our friends love football more. I always go there late because my house is very far from the place, I was thinking I will buy my own basketball 4 months ago but my parents needed my financial assistance and I also took over the registration bills of the WAEC I rewrote few months ago. Basketball is a very nice sport and the players in NBA get more paid than footballers. I will be happy if I join th NBA someday, I just need to work hard and finish with my education in Nigeria before getting to that stage.
