SFS Contest Week 4 | Drawing Contest | Draw An Umbrella

So how are you guys? I hope you all are well. When I was thinking of a picture to draw for this contest, I remembered the umbrella that my mother used in my childhood. As I remembered in my mind, I imagined that umbrella in my mind. First of all I would like to thank Steem fashion&Style community for organizing such a contest and giving me the opportunity to paint such an old umbrella.

An umbrella is a very valuable item that is needed both in the sun and in the rain. Umbrella can be called as an item that is always in women's hands. By confirming that saying, my mother always has an umbrella in her hand. Different patterns and different shapes can be seen especially in the umbrellas used by the women. That's why you can buy umbrellas in the market at different prices. And the umbrella is also important as a kind of security device in case of emergency. So let's see step by step how such a device came in to a picture.

Step 1

The first thing I did was to procure the materials for the painting. Below are the materials that I procured.

• An A4 sheet
• A pencil
• Color pencils
• An Eraser
• Pencil cutter

Step 2

In the second step, I drew a rough sketch of the upper part of the umbrella. First, top part of the umbrella was drawn as a half circle.

Then the rest of the upper part of the umbrella was drawn.

Step 3

In the third step, I drew the folding part of the umbrella and the handle. My mother's umbrella also had something like a string to hang the umbrella and I didn't forget to draw that too.

Step 4

What I did in step 4 was to redraw the outer lines with a black colored pencil and highlighting the ball patterns in the umbrella.

Step 5

The fifth step I did was to color the umbrella. To begin, the small balls were colored in green color. Then the umbrella was further colored using the colors red, brown and black.

Step 6

In the sixth step, the surrounding was colored to fade away the imperfections of the drawing. So guys, this is the picture of the umbrella my mother used to use in my childhood.
