We gain many educational and instructive lessons from many moments that happen in our lives. A few days ago, I also came across a boy whom I would like to salute. I am presenting that story to you.
About 5-6 months ago, I and one of my neighbors went to the Kadamtali area of Keraniganj for a special work. This Kadamtali is located in the southern part of the capital Dhaka. We went to consult an eye specialist. My neighbor was consulting the doctor. I was sitting quietly near the reception. At that time, a boy came with nuts. The boy was approximately 15-16 years old. This is a common occurrence in our country. So, I did not give it much importance.
But I noticed. Everyone in the eye clinic was treating the boy nicely and discussing some topics. I also looked at them with a little enthusiasm. This time, the in-charge of the eye clinic introduced me to the boy.
I then found out that although the boy was selling nuts, he was still paying for his own education with the money he earned from selling nuts, making arrangements for his parents' support, and also saving money to go to Cyprus.
I asked him why he wanted to go to Cyprus. In response to my question, he said that he was currently studying in the Inter-Second Year. He would go to Cyprus for higher studies.
I was surprised to hear what he said. I looked at him in surprise. I shook his hand and hugged him. We talked about his family matters for a while.
Lessons learned: -
Today, I learned a great lesson from this boy. No work is worth neglecting. I realized once again from this boy that any work can be evaluated honestly to bring success in life.
Despite being an educated boy, he is not ashamed of selling nuts. Rather, he proudly says that this hard work will bring me success.
His simple way of looking at life makes me emotional. I also agree with him that it is not what I do that matters, but how sincerely I do the work, and how faithfully I do it, that is what matters.
This story of a little boy reminds me that it is important to appreciate any work organized honestly and devote oneself to the work. And this is my right lesson.
Let us all be like that boy with a human heart. And let us build a life with honesty by giving up false ego.
I would like to invite three of my friends:-
