Picture of the day is a wonderful contest that inspires creativity from users because you get the chance to use a single picture to share an inspiring story which others can read and learn from. Today I want to share my participation in the contest organised here in this community by @ashkhan.

The picture I want to share with us today is a picture I took when I attend the traditional food (Traditional Marriage) of one of my neighbours here in where I stay at the moment. During the traditional food there is this traditional dance that is done by all Eggon people and today I was privilege to witness it myself.

From the image above you will notice some persons dressed in uniform, they are the main traditional dancers because they come with their custume and band which they played for a while and they get paid for the presentation. While the traditional food was ongoing, what caught my attention the most was the dance that these people were dancing.

Since the traditional marriage was taken place close to my house I didn't bother to go out and check the happening until when the band players started. The band and the joy that came with the song was what pushed me outside and having seeing how joyful and happy they were playing and dancing I went ahead to take a picture of them.

My intention is to have memories of how this tradition is played out and also to write about the traditional food of the Eggon people. Though I'm still working on giving a comprehensive overview of how marriage is done here by asking questions and getting clarification on some issues. I'm sure when I gather all my facts I will be able to share with everyone here.

With the joy and happiness and how everything was going on I decided to take so many pictures of the environment and the people around. Seeing this contest today I felt I should also share my thought about one of the major pictures I took during this process. You will agree with me that the picture was well captured and those who I talked about are well represented as well.

Pictures like this always tells us or remind us of an event which may have taken place long ago. I'm delighted that I have this image here to save on the Steemit platform because even if I'm no longer in this part of the world, I will easily go back to this post and then read through and see all that I have written about this wonderful tradition.

It is also very important to mention here that the Eggon people are the majority in Nasarawa State Nigeria. So every other tribe is a minor but the Eggon people dominates. I'm currently staying with the Eggon people and as God will have it I'm learning a lot from them.

Finally, I wish to invite my friends @dove11, @solaymann, and @josepha to also join this contest today and share their own opinions about this wonderful topic.

You had a very nice day. and Egnor's marriage
went to eat There is a lot of music playing. That caught your attention. Actually we don't have wedding ceremony like this in Bangladesh. In our Bangladesh marriage ceremony is basically done naturally. There is not much dancing, singing, playing musical instruments. Weddings are organized by bringing only boxes and making light ceremonies. For you, marriage is a different and fun medium. You had fun and had a good time eating. @simonnwigwe brother
