Talent Vs Hardwork

Talent is a person's special or natural ability, skill or endowment. A talent could be referred to a gift as it's often a natural ability. Hard work on the other hand is putting in dedication and consistency on a particular thing in order to understand it, know it, master it as the case may apply. A talented person already has an advantage as the natural abilities inherent form a foundation for the person to build on, however, in recent times, a person who has worked so hard and perfected a particular thing is said to be talented and a talented person who puts in effort becomes polished and shines.
It would be wrong to assume that a person who is talented isn't hardworking or isn't willing to improve their skill set, this is where hard work plays a more vital role in success.

It is said that Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard, this is to say that talent alone doesn't ensue success. Hard work in it self has so many benefits, some of them are:

  • Hard work helps one to learn and develop their skills (both inborn skills and acquired skills).
  • Hard work builds character and makes one more resilient.
  • Hard work keeps one prepared for opportunities.

As beautiful as hard work helping us develop amazing attitude, it's interesting to note that the things people put in the work to learn are a product of someone's skill or ability which is talent. When a person with talent handles a thing regardless of the field, there's a flair and an attitude that brings enjoyment. Talent makes related tasks easier. However, to sustain success, talent isn't enough.

A person who depends solely on talent would not necessarily get certain opportunities as they may fall complacent not preparing towards the opportunity seeing they know what to do. While a person who has been preparing for a long time and is given to consistency usually meets the bar.

Seneca, a Roma philosopher once said that Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. So a lucky person is one who has given time to prepare for a particular thing.

On the Steemit platform, being a skilled writer doesn't necessarily give you success, there's hard parts to it. Engaging with others is quite a demanding task. And engagement helps launch a person.

Usian Bolt once said a lot of hours had been put into preparation before he launched into the world scene and achieved so much success. There's been so many skilled persons who have gotten the light, but the once who work hard always compete with them as is the case of the legendary battle between Ronaldo and Messi. Working hard would give you the edge and enable you win.

Talent is a raw material that has the potential to succeed but requires hard work to become transformed and make a difference. As hard work can also compensate for lact of initial talent.

Hi dear
You really wrote well,is good your say this that Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard, this is to say that talent alone doesn't ensure successfulness.Hard work helps one to learn and develop their skills (both inborn skills and acquired skills). Hard work builds character and makes one more resilient,Hard work keeps one prepared for opportunities.best regards dear.

Thank you so much for your kind words
Hard work truly does beat talent when talent doesn't put in the effort. Having talent is a great advantage, but it's the hard work and dedication that truly make a difference.

When we work hard, we have the opportunity to learn and develop our skills, whether they are natural talents or ones we acquire over time. Hard work also helps build our character and makes us more resilient. It prepares us for opportunities that come our way and allows us to make the most of them.

So, let's keep working hard, learning, and growing. With determination and perseverance, we can achieve great things. Best regards to you too, my dear friend.

If in time I might hop by!

Love hearing from you dear @triple-a. You've really spent time highlighting the important of the both subject of the contest hardwork and talent. Though you came out proving that talent is the best. Well I respect your opinion.

But in my own opinion, I'll say that hardwork beats talent with thick advantage. Without hardwork talent is worth nothing when taking of achieving success. Talent is just a head start without hardwork it will remain dump. But one can still succeed without being talent, rather he or she learn the skill necessary. Best luck dear friend 💚.
