SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 21

There's what we called "Homecoming" convention in my church which is held every year towards the festive season like now; whereby it is expected of every member or sons and daughters to come back home to attend and join in the thanksgiving.
So the grand finale of the homecoming convention was last Sunday.

The convention started on the 4th and span through 8th December on the theme "Ebenezer " (meaning: divine help). It was very refreshing, fun and entertaining and very important not forgetting the spiritual aspect of revival and soul lifting.

The convention was characterized by activities such as match pass, song competition, (you can see from the picture shared above with us holding papers, that's the song), ministration by different gospel artists, the word, healing,
praises, worship and the word. It was really an awesome experience.

Now the concept of wearing the same uniform:

In our church we have different groups which are referred to as "families" and these families fall under three arms,: the men, the women and the youths. Then under these three headings; the men have two, the women have three and the youths have 7 families under the youths wing.
Hence my family is one of the youth's families called "St Luke family". I hope you get the gist 😀.

Then these families are meant to compete with each other in match pass and singing because there was actually a price to be won; a medal, a cup and even a cash price, so you see why it was fun and entertaining.

You could see our mothers and fathers matching and commanding salute; it was a sight to behold and even the children were not left behind, the even took first runner up.
And each family has their own separate uniforms. It was very colorful and beautiful.

Amidst these fun and entertainment, I know God was glorified.
And our 2024 homecoming convention was a huge success.
