In your understanding, what is a role model?

To me, a role model is someone to look up to, whose life provides a shining example that we can learn from and be inspired by. Like a beacon guiding lost ships, they illuminate the way forward, showing us how to better navigate the choppy waters of life.

When we're young, our first role models are often close to home - our parents. They instill in us fundamental values and model how to walk through the world. As we grow, our pool of role models widens - perhaps an awe-inspiring teacher who unlocks our potential, or a peer whose passion and persistence we admire. We always try to emulate these people.

Do you have someone you see as a role model in your own life? What makes them a role model to you?

For me, my role model was born thousands of years ago. He is none other than our beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH). We can learn so much from his life. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always taught truthfulness and righteousness. He never told a lie or harmed anyone. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always discouraged useless talk and wrongdoings and taught us good deeds.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was extremely kind and merciful to all. He helped the poor and shared in people's sufferings. That is why everyone loved him so much then and still does now. Even after his passing, people try to follow his example because he was an ideal.

I think if every person tries to live their life the way Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did, this world would become a much better place. If everyone spread his message of integrity and forgiveness, there would be love and peace amongst all people. That is why I consider Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) my role model and try to learn as much as I can from him. He always taught human rights and duties which we can follow to live a good life.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always taught that we should interact kindly with others, even enemies. Nowadays we have lost this quality. We don't even treat our loved ones well and take pleasure in harming our enemies. But this is very wrong. Treating everyone kindly as the Prophet (PBUH) did is a duty for all of us. The Prophet's (PBUH) life is the best example for all of us. Following his way of life can take us to the highest levels of success.

Is there anyone on the Steemit platform you see as a role model? Why do you look up to them?

If you ask me, while there are many people I admire on Steemit, if we talk about role models specifically, I would not hesitate to say my role model on Steemit is none other than mam @patjewell. She is such a wonderful person and there is so much to learn from everything she says and does.

Her content is excellent - her posts are both educational and entertaining. She tries to cover a variety of topics so readers get a range of content. Reading her posts gives me writing-skill development as well as confidence. Plus, she has a very appealing writing style which I really like. She shares experiences from her life which we can learn from. Her posts are positive and always inspire one to become better.

I greatly admire her consistency and hard work. She almost writes daily and stays connected with her readers. This motivates me to also be regular and produce good content. Her helpful and friendly nature also makes her special. She is always ready to guide any new user. She explains things in detail no matter what questions you ask. I love this caring attitude in her.

In short, it’s her positive attitude, creativity, and kindness that make her my role model on Steemit. She’s shown me that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible. And that’s why I’m inspired to follow in her footsteps.

What qualities do you look for in a role model?

For me, it’s not about fame or status. I’m drawn to those rare individuals who are driven by purpose, passion, and character. My role models should have a mission - something bigger than themselves that motivates them to make the world a better place. They’re fueled by a sense of purpose, a desire to improve things in whatever way they can. Also, I want someone with a positive mindset as a role model. Who sees everything in a good way. Who doesn't lose hope in tough times. Being around such a person gives me courage and motivation too.

Do you think it's important to have a role model? Please explain your reasoning.

Some people say having role models is unnecessary - we want to live our lives in our own way. But I disagree with this view. It's essential for every person to find inspiration in something or someone, and for that we need role models. Role models give meaning and purpose to our lives.

A role model motivates us and gives us courage to move ahead. If a successful person is our role model, we also want to be successful like them and work hard for it. A role model shapes our thinking and values.

That's why I feel it's very important to choose positive role models. Someone we can learn from and who helps us progress. If our role model has negative qualities, they can corrupt our thinking and values. So, we need balance - we should choose our role models carefully.
