I joined the Steemit platform four years ago (2020) and during that time, I didn't know about the existence and minting of liquid steem directly as a reward after post payout. ☆ From the displayed interface, we can see the "SELL STEEM" & "BUY STEEM" preferences. Since we converting from SBD to steem, I will be using the BUY steem preference.
☆ Enter the quantity of SBD to be converted in the "TOTAL BOX," and then click on the "LOWEST ASK" option to populate other boxes.
☆ Then click on the BUY STEEM button and OK to complete the process.

This is not trying to be selfish but with all sincerity, we all want SBD to tarry. But this simply means that we want the price of steem value to remain high. We cannot ask for anything less, even the steemit team thinks in this direction. Hence, the purpose of the club status project and burnsteem25 is to help surge the prices of steem tokens.
Therefore, receiving my rewards in SBD is a far better deal for me as an author since it gives me room to earn more tokens and save up more as well. With SBD, I can increase my influence in the ecosystem by having enough steam power (SP).
