Tennis Elbow is pain on the outside of the elbow caused by overuse of the hand or wrist to perform similar tasks. Basically doing the same thing over and over causes us to tear small parts of our tendons, causing us to feel sharp pain.
There are several causes of Tennis Elbow, some of the common causes are listed below:-
• Participating in activities and sports that place excessive stress on the hands and wrists. For example: playing badminton and tennis.
• Lifting excessively heavy objects by hand.
• Not exercising regularly.
• And usually after 50 the acceptance of old age.
• Mild to severe pain on the outside of the elbow.
• Feeling discomfort when moving the hand to grasp or make a fist.
• Decreased muscle strength, reduced hand and wrist strength and even difficulty making fists.
• Touching or pressing the outer part of the hand increases the intensity of the pain.
There are several types of Tennis Elbow based on the source, severity and cause of the pain caused by Tennis Elbow:-
• It is caused by a sudden traumatic injury, which usually occurs after heavy work with the hands and activities that put pressure on the hands and wrists. It usually lasts for a few days to a few weeks unless rest and medical attention is sought.
• This problem occurs when the tendon muscles of the forearm are damaged due to repetitive or excessive stress. It can last from weeks to 6 months if not treated and rested.
Apart from this, there are several other types of Tennis Elbow, from which we should be careful and if these symptoms appear in our body, we should take the doctor's advice quickly.
A simple evaluation of symptoms and a physical exam are usually sufficient to diagnose Tennis Elbow. However, for long-term problems, the doctor may also order imaging tests.
- Aches and pains on the outside of the elbow that last for some time.
• What activities aggravate the pain and what activities does the patient perform to reduce the pain.
• Also, the doctor determines the original position by moving or pressing the outer part of the patient's hand.
• The hand is called horse with the wrist facing forward.
• Do not ask the patient to flex the wrist backwards.
• Pressure is applied to the outside of the elbow and the patient is asked to make fists.
• X-rays
• MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
• Ultrasound
Before starting the exercises I first put a little heatpack on my wrists. Because it will reduce the amount of pain by moving my wrist and I will benefit.
• For this I first put the fingers of the left hand on the joint of the fingers of my right hand and then move the fingers of the right hand straight down and up.
• I then removed the fingers of the left hand and fisted the right hand several times.
• Then I raised and lowered the fingers only up to the next joint of the fingers and finally raised and lowered only that part with the left hand fingers at the joint covering the rest except the last joint of the right hand.
• For this I first straightened my arm and then with my left hand grabbed the fingers of the right hand and pulled them back as far as possible.
• For this first I keep only my right wrist off the table then I apply pressure to the back of the right wrist with my left palm, then I move my left hand to the sole of my right hand and apply pressure then I make a fist with my left palm on it and finally I apply pressure with my right fist Keeping the palm of the left hand down and giving upward pressure. While doing this exercise, I do the maximum with my left hand Pressure was applied but it never moved the right hand to the left handed ball.
While doing Finger Stretch, I did not feel any problem or pain in my hand joints, but while doing it, the long-term stiffness of my hand joints seemed to be gone. At first, I had a little trouble doing them because it seemed that my joints were very stiff. Wrist Flexors Stretch When I was pulling back the fingers of my right hand I felt a lot of pressure and tension in my wrist. Wrist Isometric Exercises I did this exercise without any problem.
However, I still feel a lot of tension in my wrists to stretch the Wrist Flexors. However, after a few massages, the feeling of tightness is greatly reduced.

You have awesomely shared the post with us. You write very well about therapy. And it is true that when people indulge in excessive sports they feel severe pain afterwards. Which puts extra stress on the hands and wrists. Eg: Playing badminton and tennis. Lifting extra heavy objects with hands. Not exercising regularly. The words are eternally true. Anyway, I wish you success with this post @shadow04

I am really happy that you spent your precious time to study my post and at the end of the study presented such a nice opinion. We must try to avoid heavy work and do regular exercise, which will help us stay physically fit.

Thank you for understanding the lesson and sharing your assignment; I hope that you will enjoy this week's lesson and try to implement it in your life if you see any such case.
Observations
Task 1 (3/3)
You have shared a great knowledge about tennis elbow, its symptoms, cause, it's types. That's good you explain the types of tennis elbow. I appreciate your effort.
Task 2 (2.5/3)
In the second question, you tell us about how you have to assess a patient by doing physical examination, history taking, and investigations. But didn't add special tests. It would be better to add explanation of special tests and investigations too. Good.
Task 3 (3.6/4)
You try the finger stretches, wrist flexor stretch, and wrist isometric exercises. You did the finger stretches, wrist flexor stretch correctly. But it would be better to keep your hand below the end of your fingers or mid of the hand for better resistance and also allow movement of fingers against resistance. Always remember to apply heat pack before performing exercises to relax the muscles and reduce stiffness. I appreciate your efforts.
Overall you made a great attempt to answer all the questions. I appreciate your efforts. But next time try to avoid the above written suggestions. Keep learning and try to implement your knowledge to the people suffering from tennis elbow or any type of wrist. Thank you.
