First mature Prairie Kingsnake after hatching out five little ones!

I'm working on the video of the hatching right now, but we've found an adult Prairie Kingsnake (Lampropeltis calligaster) as well. In this photos we show off the five little hatchlings, and then Monster Truck decides to see if the mature one wants to be a necklace for a bit, which it was quite content just to sit there on his neck for some time. These snakes are nonvenomous, but are defensive at first. Once they realize that you are not a threat, they tend to settle down. Enjoy the photos!
