Book smart vs street smart

The importance of Wether or not a person be book or street smart is dependent on the benefit of these types of smartness to that particular individual and to the people around him or her. A contest was organized in the
STEEM4STUDENTS and this contests context is based in book smart vs street smart.

My definition of book smart:

From my perspective, book smart means when a person is mentally okay to carry out academical activities without any flaws and still be perfect in it after a period of time. This type of smartness is majorly gotten from schools.

My definition of street smart:

Street smart to me means when a person has little or no academical knowledge but has the ability to survive with what they learnt from their environment. This type of smartness is gotten from experiences in the streets.

The reason for these definition above is to answer the contests question, with the readers knowing fully well what I mean by book smart and street smart.

ARE YOU BOOK SMARTS OR STREET SMARTS?

From my definition above, I will say that I am both book smart and also street smart.

I am 55% book smart and 45% street smart.

This is because I grew up in a very harsh environment, I grew up in kaduna and I witnessed different civil wars including the "shariah" war in kaduna.

Well, when I flexed my muscles of book smart was both in the class and also my exams.

During my second year in school, I was arguing with a lecturer about bones, and the lecturer was surprised to see that I beat him at his game of lecture.

Can a school teach someone how to become street smart? Let's know your opinion.

No, a school cannot teach a person how to be street smart. This is learnt from peer groups as well as the environment. What a school teaches is how to get a paying job and work until you retire.

CONCLUSION

The both types of smartness are gotten or derived from different places. Book smart is gotten from school while the other is gotten from the streets.

I've witnessed diverse things that made me smart in both ramification and these smartness has given me a different scope and view of life.
