Welcome to my blog🤗
A warm greeting to every amazing person in this platform viewing this right now.

Its another awesome contest, and I'd be telling you about my best and worst high school teachers. Wosshhh🤭😉,this is going to be interesting read, stay with me.

First off high school is the best season in all schooling sessions for me to be honest. Its more like the in-betweens of life. You make innocent mistakes because of how naive you'd be. You have the most fun without thinking of consequences, meet all kinds of friends, choose to A's your results or be average.

Basically you are less conscious of how your decisions can affect your life in general even if you get warned, you barely take anyone seriously, you feel they just don't want you to enjoy life, well when you get older you'd understand sadly🤧.

My high school days was really fun filled🤩😝, it was a private day school, I had quite a handful of teachers between transitions of classes. Some who taught excellently well, averagely and those that teaching wasn't supposed to be a job for them😪😫.

Which Teacher will be the worst and why?

I'd grade my last Agricultural science teacher as the worst teacher in high school, his name is Mr Akin but we popularly called him Mallam gona(in Hausa).

He should be in his early 40's as at then, had zero teaching skills, poor explanation for easy comprehension, he dressed anyhow. For Agric as a subject we all know its quite bulky in notes, he would come to the class during his periods which is mostly an hour and use half of it to write notes on the board, he will then use about 15minutes to sleep, waiting for us to finish writing and afterwards use the remaining 15minutes to explain all that plenty notes, other times he use the remaining 30minutes to sleep.

He'd also be lazy to come for some of his periods too😏...yet he gives the most complicated tests and exams questions. We barely learnt anything when we have agric practicals. I had to put in extra efforts in studying agric for my high School leaving Exams and performed magic in my practical exams😂. Thank God I passed though.

I was a straight A's student in high school so I was generally treated nicely by a large portion of my teachers, but my favorite high school teacher is Mr Lawrence Ujah.

He taught us mathematics back then. Mr law was more than just a teacher to me, he was a God sent to that phase of my life. Beyond just been a maths teacher, he was once our stay-in class teacher(each teacher has a class assigned to them to stay, they overlook the coordination of the class in general)he was our FCS Coordinator too.

He taught excellently well, he pays close attention to our general well being, performance and school attendance. Me and my friends disturbed this man die😂😂. When we'd get hungry during breaks, we head straight to his office to buy us lunch as though we kept money with him, we sha collect cane if we act wrongly or failed tests and assignments. He was the only teacher that visited my home, met my mum and know a little bit more story about me than just his student.

He would also assist with questions I find difficult to solve, guide our decision making per time. We gisted on some break periods and he encouraged us on our faith life and extra curriculum activities (Dancing).

Mr Law was so kind, he shared his life journey stories with us and helped us become better students and people. I respect, honour and celebrate him dearly.

What did you learn from both teachers?

I learnt from my worst teacher that I shouldn't take up a profession when I am not competent enough at it (especially when it directly affects their future), so that they won't find it difficult to navigate their life later on and have to put way too much effort to achieve success.

I learnt to influence people life in general with my act of kindness, care and tender love but also know how to balance it by being able to discipline them, in order that they'd do turn out to be better and appreciate all the teaching as they get more mature.

If you are to write a letter of gratitude to the teacher, what would write?

To my best teacher

Dear Sir Law,
How are you doing sir, how is your wife and beautiful child?, trust you are doing well.
I am writing this letter of appreciation and gratitude for your love, kindness and sound teaching. Just like yesterday, the memories are ever fresh of your impact on my life.

Part of the reasons I turned out good today is because of the way you groomed me back in school in all aspect of life, some of those little talks you gave to me and my friends were only but relevant years after high school. Thank you for ignoring some of our teenagers excesses and pulling us to the right path.

Thank you for caring that much, beyond teaching us mathematics very well, you feed us, prayed with us and made us smile. Thank you for times you flogged us with cane and bitter truth advice.

And I specially thank you for complimenting my good looks in high school, it helped me ignore all those small boys compliments😉.
God bless you immensely!, I honour and celebrate you sir.

Your student,
Anna Yakubu

Thank you so much!

Wow! This is the second time I read about an Agricultural science teacher as the worst teacher, and I didn't even know that subject existed. I'm loving every single piece of information I'm learning from you guys.

Regarding your teacher, I find very disrespectful that he slept so much in class. He had no professional ethics at all.

Oh wow,you didn't offer agriculture in school??

No, but I wish I had, no lie.

Awwwnnn...its fine anyway. Maybe it was replaced with a subject we also did not offer.
