My field of study is education, but not education by itself. As you may know education has many specific purposes (I think it applies everywhere, not only here), for example: Mathematics, English, History, Geography, etc. Well, my specific field of education is English. Yup, I'm an English teacher, the most hated teacher at school :(

- Tell us why and also how that particular course can be useful to life and society at large.

The "reason why" is absolutely disappointing. As I mentioned above, I had to choose my career being too young, but above all I was lazy and immature, so I made my choice appealing to the probable ease of the career and the adaptability of myself (a lazy person) to that profession.

The process of choosing my career was a little influenced by who was my first and only boyfriend. He said my obvious option would be studying an English-related career because the English subject had never been a problem for me; while my family wanted me to study an administrative career.

At the end I chose English teaching, but not because I was disobedient. I will explain in detail below, since that explanation is concerned with the next question.

Importance:
We are all aware of the importance of the English language teaching, right? I think it's not necessary that I mention it, however, I have to make clear that in my country, it is not seen as a priority. Actually, this government has unsuccessfully tried to eliminate it as a subject for years.

- Is your field of study your dream course?

It isn't, but I don't have any indeed. I've been interested in psychology lately, though I don't know if I should consider it my dream course.

-Tell us how you gained admission into your field of study, or how you plan to gain admission if you're not a student yet.

The "OPSU" system, which was the national organism in charge of assigning students into the universities by the time, gave us the chance of choosing 3 career options, and we were to be assigned to the one that fitted the most according to our academic record. I picked English teaching along with 2 others that were administration-related careers, but the ultimate choice was obvious.
