In the first league match of IPL 2024, Virat Kohli-led RCB won the toss and elected to bat against M.S Dhoni's side CSK.

After scoring 40 runs in the first 4 overs, RCB lost 3 wickets in just two overs and sent their fans into a frenzy. Kohli scored 21 runs and Green scored 18 runs. In the final phase, Anuj Rawat's 48 and Dinesh Karthik's 36 played well as the team posted 173 for 6 in 20 overs.

Chasing the target in the next innings, CSK had all the fielders give their best. Openers Rudhuraj 15 runs and Rachin Ravindra 35 runs gave a somewhat better start.

After that, Rahane scored 27 runs and Daryl Mitchell was dismissed for 22 runs. In the final stage, Shivam Dube scored 34 runs and Ravindra Jadeja scored 25 runs. CSK team scored 176 runs in 18.4 overs, losing only 4 wickets and with one over remaining. succeeded.

In this match, CSK captain Rudhuraj Gaekwad and Bangladesh player Mushtabizur Rahman were the main reason for CSK's victory.
