Beware of Bullying

During your life, have you ever received bullying? If so, in what form? physical, verbal or through cyber bullying. Provide your review?

By God's grace I have never experienced any such bullying but many atrocities have happened in our town and in our country and we are seeing them daily in newspapers, social medias and on TV. I strongly condemn such incidents.

Cyber bullying in particular is on the rise today due to the increased use of the internet by today's generation and the things they do for fun as well as things to avoid. Cyber bullying comes in many forms. it does not mean blackmailing or stealing personal information of someone else.

This includes posting negative comments about someone or spreading rumors to defame someone. Since everyone is hooked on social networking, it makes it very easy for anyone to abuse this access. Likewise, posting disparaging comments about someone's color, body type, family background, caste, education, etc. to hurt someone's feelings is a form of intimidation.

How do you equip your children to avoid bullying either at school or in their social environment.

Prevention of bullying or cyber bullying is very essential nowadays. It should be monitored and put to an end. Otherwise it will lead the victim up to their loss of life. A false rumor ruins people's lives.

• When this happens, we should consult with the family members and make arrangements to dissolve it
• Any problem is solvable so face it boldly from the beginning
• Practice yoga and meditation to keep your mind calm

There are various ways to deal with cyber threats. They can be implemented at personal and official levels.

We should always teach our children not to share personal information online. For example,

• listing a home address or phone number can make it a target for cyberbullying.
• Avoid posting revealing photos of yourself online.
• Do not discuss personal matters on social media.
• Do not share your internet password, OTP and account details with anyone.

Everyone should understand that all are equal and have same rights in this world. In order to stop harassment, bullying or cyber bullying. awareness is essential. Early sensitization is necessary to ensure that children are constantly aware. In addition, parents ought to keep an eye on and restrict their kids' internet activity. Most importantly, there should be no delay in reporting cyberbullying. This may stop more mishaps from occurring.

When this happens, we get mentally crushed, so it is important to share this with friends and family members, as well as to calm the mind by doing yoga or meditation.
