SEC-S15W5 | Dream of becoming a Steem Representative (SR)

Greetings to all members of this community, I would answering the contest questions accordingly.

Do you want to become one of the Steem Representatives? Why and what were your efforts to get elected?

Becoming a team would be a dream come true. I have always wanted to be a Steem representative, I heard from my friend that being a representative is not a small feat in steemit, before one can achieve this he must have reached a good reputation coupled with a high steempower of about 2000 upward, I don't if some the steemit team can consider those with 1k sp but I heard the minimum is 2k, I have worked so hard to get to this point but it seems I am no way near, I have kept on engaging with other users, tries posting with high quality and so on

Mention some of the duties of a Steem Rep that you know and what is the big influence on the growth of steemians and the platform?

In steemit, we have different representatives with their unique functions example are country representatives, witnesses, plagiarism/abuse watcher, greeters etc.

Witnesses; I don't know much about this set of people but I am sure that their activity on this platform has helped a lot. It is important that as a steemians you vote for witnesses because this set of people are like securities, they have the right to get into your account and stop every activity that wasn't done by you, if you contact them, but how do you contact them, through country representatives.

Plagiarism and abuse watcher; This steem rep. help to screen and scrutinize any form of plagiarism found in any written post. Their work is mainly to label if the user doesn't refrain from it.

Curators; Curators range from 1-9, the highest based on hierarchy is curator 1, followed by 2, the rest are subordinates ho hat assist in curation and their work is to make sure every entry by a user in a week doesn't pay out as $0.00, these curators have teams and regulations that guide them, I would love to stop here for now.

How do the duties and responsibilities of a Steem Representative differ from a community admin/mod on the Steemit platform?

After writing a lot, I came to realize the big difference between admin and Steem representative. At first, I thought moderators, and admin, were Steem representatives, Oh I think I know what they stand for now. This set of people have more influence than admins and moderators, who give updates on the happenings of the platform, I think a Steem representative like a plagiarism watcher has the full right to label someone whom he sees with continuous plagiarism. A witness as I said earlier has made it possible for every activity on the platform to be secured, though you have your keys as the greatest security, this set of people are security themself as well as sc01.

Give one example that you think the duties of an SR really help the Steemit Team for the growth of the platform and users, both for the country and globally. (You are allowed to take a screenshot of one of SR's activities, either post or comments narrative and include the link)

Can I tell a story? My Steemian friend's account was accessed by an unknown user, a power-down was initiated. She noticed it but she couldn't access her account anymore to stop the process because her master key was used to change all her passwords. This wasn't done by a Steem novice but it could be a friend, so this friend of mine since she was introduced to Steem by our then country rep @ngoenyi, has to act fast by letting her know, on hearing this Ngoenyi contacted a steem witness and they got access to her account and halted the ongoing power down. When I heard this, I knew I was secure and safe on Steem. Thank God the power-down process has a countdown of 1 week, if not so all her earnings would have been cleared.

If you are elected as an SR, apart from carrying out the main duties of the Steemit Team, what new things will you do to help the growth of the platform and users?

A lot of posts on this platform have paid out as $0.00 and sometimes it doesn't encourage the user. I have a little knowledge of trails but I think I would have to gather a group of people holding the Steem currency from 10k to 100k and maybe 2 curators accounts will join and form a trial that newbies will join, so that aside from booming support and curation user can see their post payout at least $4, If this is done I them refer a lot of people to seem to write encouraging them to hold them. I don't know if these ideas are wise these are what's on my head. I believe the Steemit team will love this. Thanks for this amazing contest.
