Details about the AMD Ryzen 7 4700G have appeared online, aligning with previous leaks about AMD's upcoming desktop APUs. The Zen 2 chip will reportedly have a 4.4 GHz boost clock, a 65 W TDP and an 8 CU GPU capable of reaching 2.1 GHz. The 8 core APU will also support SMT and may be a challenger for the Core .

An image of a supposed "final version" of the AMD Ryzen 7 4700G has been published online. Circulated by Videocardz, the image below explicitly states "AMD Ryzen 7 4700G". Additionally, the image contains the OPN code "100-000000146", which correlates with a processor listed in a recent OPN list leak by igor'sLAB.

Combining the two sources reveals that the Ryzen 7 4700G is an 8 core processor that supports Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT). Unsurprisingly, the Ryzen 7 4700G is a 7 nm part based on AMD's Zen 2 architecture. The APU also has a 3.6 GHz base clock, along with a 4.4 GHz boost clock and a 65 W TDP. Additionally, the Ryzen 7 4700G should have an 8 CU onboard GPU that can clock up to 2.1 GHz. Videocardz asserts that 8 CUs correlates with 512 stream processors. The website added:

Our source claims that the product is a final version and it shouldn't be long before we see Renoir AM4 in stores.

Moreover, Videocardz believes that the Ryzen 7 4700G should compete with the Core i7-10700, since they are both 8-core and 16-thread processors with 65 TDPs. According to the OPN list published by igor'sLAB the Ryzen 7 4700G will be one of many high-performance APUs that are on the verge of being announced.
