Floating Restaurant at the Silver City Boat club,
Cuttack, Odisha
DETAILS:
The restaurant has been setup by the OTDC to let tourists enjoy the lovely breeze of river Mahanadi while eating. We hear that OTDC plans to launch as many as 30 such restaurants in the future. It's an 8-seater floating device fitted with colour changing LED lights powered by solar panels. OTDC, we learnt, has made provisions for the safely of the tourists. Customers will be charged on a hourly basis for using this facility.
Booking:
The restaurant can be booked either via Panthanivas or through the boat club.
How to go:
The boat club is a boating point on the banks of river Mahanadi, in the city of Cuttack. If you are coming from the Jobra side, you need to take the right turn (seashore road) before reaching Balijatra ground gate (the road that also takes you the IOCL pump house and park) It's available on Google maps and isn't difficult to find.
