Fast foods are those which are cooked and served within a short span of time, usually in a centralized place that uses pre-cooked foods or foods with minimal preparation time. Fast food is much appreciated because it does not take a long time. Some of the typical foods include hamburgers, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, French fries, pizza, and fried chicken. Food of this nature is generally rich in calories, fat, sugar, and salt so eating this regularly over a period of time can be unhealthy. It is well understood that fast foods chains boast of faster service and cheaper prices, however, it is well documented that these chains lead to weight gain, weak societies, heart-related issues and diabetes. Nevertheless, in some of the cases even companies stepped forward and offered something healthy such as salads, fruits and nonfried or grilled food items. Still even when people do make such efforts and complain less, fast food continues to the plague of children as well as adults for its easy to get everywhere especially now that people are busy and looking for quick or cheap meals all over particularly in the cities. The trends in the growing markets of the fast food restaurants are also changing along with the health trends.
