Carbohydrates are a group of macronutrients that is widely known as the primary source of energy. They are made up of saccharides, starches, and celluloses and are contained in grains, fruits, vegetables, and milk products. As a food supply, the carbohydrates consumed in food are metabolized into basic sugar, which is known as glucose, and glucose is used as fuel in the cells of the human body. In general, simple carbs and complex carbs exist: the simple type include those that are quickly absorbed by the body, such as sugar placed in the room and white bread, while the complex type include those that take a while to be digested, including food such as whole grain bread and most vegetables. More complex carbs give prolonged energy and have highly complex and useful elements like fiber. Fiber is a kind of a carbohydrate that cannot be digested but plays an essential role in digestion as well as blood sugar control. A normal level of carbohydrates in the body is necessary in order to protect oneself from diseases, imbalances in the body, and obesity that can also trigger this disease.
