More often than not, people idealize the past eras and claim the past to be better. How nostalgic! Life was uncomplicated and there was a deep belongingness. There were more family activities and people communicated in person rather than over the phone. Many of the distractions surrounding their ways of life were absent making people relish every moment of life rather than worrying about the next. It is interesting how a person perceives the past due to the effect of viewing it through nostalgic goggles.
On theoccasions, the so called “better” past is nothing more than a perception. In this regard, although it may have seemed that things were much better or simple or peaceful in those days, it has to be acknowledged that these days brought some problems as well, for example, the limited health care, social stratification, fewer connections across the world. Such is life, so has been the true definition of past. At the same time, there is also a tendency for forgetting its true nature and those: everything passes including good and bad times.
