Netherlands coach Frank De Boer has stepped down as national coach after a failed attempt to achieve the national team target
Frank De Boer was the head coach during 2004 and 2014 season when led the Dutch national team to the semifinals of the 2014 World Cup where he was eliminated by runners up Argentine .
He was later reappointed as the coach of the Netherlands national team, with both parties having an agreement that Frank De Boer will take the team to at least the quarter-finals of the ongoing Euro2020, adding that the contract will not be renewed if the target was not achieved.
Recall that the Netherlands were eliminated from Euro2020 by Czech Republic with a score of 0: 2 in Budapest on Sunday in their knockout stage. after the match it was clear that the 51-year-old had not kept the agreement with the Dutch Football Federation.
After the defeat on Sunday, Frank De Boer made it known that he would not continue as the head coach of the Dutch team because the goal was not reached, he quickly submitted his letter of resignation to the Dutch Fa.
The 51-year-old is no longer the coach of the Dutch national team, which means that he will not lead the orange team when they play in World Cup qualifiers.
The loss of his job was the cost of failure for Frank De Boer, he failed to reach the Dutch national team's goal.
Euro 2020 is still ongoing as the next rounds was scheduled to be played today.
