So we've now been given the chance to live the dream we've always had(it's not real though, just a piece of writing, ha!).
It's normal for a soccer fan to daydream a lot about being a footballer especially if you speculate about how the players in fairly rich or big teams are enjoying life.
I for one, think exactly like any other soccer fan does. I play a lot of FIFA games(mine is outdated anyway but I still love it)and usually when I'm playing alone, I like to play the career games. I fancy the manger career more than the player career. It's actually amazing to see players complaining about their playing time, you having to renew contracts, players rejecting the contracts because they feel their salaries are small and all that. Makes me wish I was in the players' positions. I mean, it's grand; they're really enjoying the best parts of life.
So let's say I got respawned and was given another chance to live a new life, starting with a football career at a young age(say, 14 years).
Since this contest is solely based on fantasies, I'd like to choose a local team like Ashanti Gold S.C since it is local team of my current residence, Obuasi.
With this team, and obviously at the youth side at this age(playing as a RB), I would make sure to get a good contract from the senior side after my numerous magical performances.
The dreams of most players here in Africa is to get a good or normal team at Europe since life is obviously better and promising there than here in Africa. So apparently, I will choose the same path. Since my performances will be excellent and exceptional, it is a sure thing that I will get a very good agent who will deal with my transfers and contracts. So with the senior side at my local team, there's no way I'm gonna make my mind to stay or commit myself for even two years after winning the league's trophy with them(I surely will). My works will speak for me.
I fancy playing at a smaller club before making it into one of the big ones(Manchester United and none other!).
So I'll go to Wycombe Wanderers (one of the teams I really like because of the beast).
So obviously I'm gonna work hard there and be the magician I've always been in my previous teams. Getting more assists and a couple of goals.
So let's say after a year or two over there having made a name for myself and talks all over the media, I would then go to my dream team, Manchester United. I got other dream teams, like Leeds United, Derby County but ,you know, I'm past that, I'm a big player now 🤷🏾♂️😛.
This is where my actual football life will start.
Since I know my agent is one of the best, I wouldn't have to worry about poor contract terms, I'm gonna get a delicious one definitely!
And one reason I chose Manchester United?
Antonio Valencia is my role model and a person I really respect . And as a right back, I'll follow in his footsteps. Since he left Manchester United, there has been a gap there eventhough there is a new RB. Valencia had everything from attacking to defence when he was at United and that's what I will be, I'll fill the gap and make sure the team doesn't even think of getting a new RB. I'll just be good. And yeah, I'm gonna work so hard on myself and fitness that injuries wouldn't be a thing for me.😊
I'm gonna commit myself there for a longer term until retirement. I'll try as hard as possible with my team to win major trophies like the league cup and champions league and also win the FA cups and Carabao cups.
League Cup
Champions League
For national teams, it's possible I might get a chance to play for England and my country. And to be honest, there's no way I'm gonna choose Ghana. Everything is so poor over here; the Football federation and everything so I just won't even think about it.
However if Ghana is like a promising country in terms of football(in my new life time) like most great nations, I would definitely join but if it's how it is right now, there's no doubt I'm gonna join England.
And with the national team, I'm gonna try to lead the team and win trophies(especially the world cup)with the team. I'll just be an icon for most prospects.
The World Cup🙂
Though I might play for England 😂, I'm gonna help my country a lot. My main focus will be on education and curbing poverty(building and funding orphanages, giving alms regularly, setting organisations for helping the poor).
I know the fight wouldn't be mine alone, I will surely get help from the outside, like Rashford did.
Helping the orphanages
making donations
I'll also try as much as possible to help smaller teams or clubs within my locality. Funding them and buying them kits will be a routine thing for me
I'm gonna save a lot too( I'm not gonna end up wretched after retirement😴).
So yeah, I think that is that.
I'm gonna do these and many other things if only I get a chance to start a fresh football career, and of course, with a lot of soccer abilities within me (I barely have any at the moment).
@njaywan, can you give me a fresh start?🤔
Hope to see you next time guys!
