Good day sport lovers, it feels good to post for the first time here, and I sincerely want to appreciate the members, admins and moderators for a job welldone here.

In this post, I will be doing a brief analysis on the carabao cup semi final pairings.

The carabao cup is gradually entering into the final phase where we are going to be having a new winner in 4 years, remember Man city who has won the cup for the past 4 seasons were eliminated by the Hammers some couple of weeks back meaning a new champion will emerge this season but who will that be ? Let's take a look at the remaining Four teams, how they've been paired and their chances of winning.

CHELSEA VS TOTTENHAM

The blues have been somewhat impressive this season and they survived a resilient Brentford team to move to the next round. Manager Thomas Tuchel will be relishing the chance of adding another cup to his trophy cabinet this season and the carabao cup might just be an opportunity to achieve that, looking at his array of stars and his formidable team who conquered Europe, I think they have all it takes to win this competition.

Tottenham on the other hand, surprisingly eliminated West Ham to qualify for the semi final, looking at West Ham form this season, they've been magnificent and many had thought they would probably get to win the carabao cup especially having ousted city earlier but Antonio conte had other plans for them. The Italian had done incredibly well so far at spurs after taking over the helm of affairs as the club manager. Will conte deliver spurs first major Trophy ? Only time will tell.

Chelsea will play the 1st leg at home on the 4th of Jan while the 2nd leg which will be held on the 11th of Jan and will be played at Tottenham Hotspurs stadium in North London.

ARSENAL VS LIVERPOOL

Arsenal though started the season on a weak form but they've gradually improve and are now a force to reckon with again, they had sunderland at their mercy and were ruthless against them putting 5 goals past them in the quarter final. But manager Mikel Arteta still has so much to be done especially when his team faces a top 4 club, looking at the records so far this season, Arsenal have failed to impress when they face the big clubs not to forget that the last time Arsenal faced Liverpool, they were walloped and thumped by Liverpool. To have a chance against Liverpool, they need to be at their optimum best.

Liverpool has been quite impressive so far this season, 2nd in the league, topped their group in the UCL and staged a nearly impossible comeback win against stubborn Leicester in the quarter final to cruize into the last four. Klop has been known to hardly take league cup serious but having reach the semi final now, he would definitely want to put this cup in the bag but there will be a challenge. Liverpool might be without their stars, talking about Mane, Salah and Keita as they head to AFCON in January, these are options that Klop can't do without and facing a resurgent Arsenal side, he will need to look into crystal ball to prepare a team without this trio and beat Arsenal, can Liverpool defeat Arsenal without Mane, Salah and Keita ? Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Liverpool will play the first leg on the 5th of January at the Emirates while Arsenal will travel to Anfield on the 12th of Jan for the return leg.
