We had some interesting UEFA Nations League qualifiers today, of course the most interesting games were in Group 4 of League A were Ukraine Hosted Spain and Germany hosted Switzerland. I think both scores are surprising, Ukraine beat Spain 1- 0 and Germany was held to a 3-3 draw. Surprising because I think Spain and Germany were all out favorites, in fact I read a report on the Spain game and they had a nearly total control of the ball but could just not score. This does make this group more exciting.
In another competition this one the South American World Cup qualifiers Argentina managed to beat Bolivia in the heights of La Paz, Ecuador beat Uruguay handily at home, and Paraguay got an away win against Venezuela. Bad result for Uruguay and a great one for Argentina who managed to win at a place that is always very difficult for them. As for Bolivia and Venezuela I really think they are already out of it, two games two losses and it seems they have very weak sides this time around, of course football is football anything can happen.
Unfortunately I was not able to watch any of these games they were not televised here, the only game I was able to watch was the friendly between Mexico and Algeria which ended 2- 2, I consider this a bad result for Mexico from whom I expected more after they having beaten Holland but they were not able to repeat it against an Algerian side that was left with 10 men for about 40 minutes after one of their players was sent off. Still way better than what my country Honduras team did yesterday, tying with Nicaragua at home and only scored the tie in overtime.
Great surprise the defeat of Spain, and regrettable the defeat of Venezuela, I had hope that this next world cup will be the entry of Venezuela but at this time I see it very difficult.
