Everton vs sheffield united// post match analysis

Everton who seem to be among my favourite to have the victory today have been involved in a shocking defeat to sheffield united in their sunday clash.

The london side domination of the game was no avail to them as they lost in a shocking 0-1 defeat to sheffield united.

couple of chances from digne,calvert-lewis and seamus were not enough to secure a goal for the london side. Everton dominated possession all along, but neither teams really created big chances.

At the 2nd minutes of the first half, Abdoulaye Doucoure makes inroads through the middle, stress testing Sheffield United's defence before playing in Lucas Digne on the left.

He gets a dangerous cross into the box, but it's cleared. Then while trying to push the game hard in the first fifth minutes it was cool, all of a sudden in the seventh minutes of the game, daniel jebbison open the scoring with a poacher.

Jebbison! He's scored!

Robinson slaloms into the box and whips the ball across the face of goal. Jebbison, on his first Premier League start, stretches out a leg to poke home.

Jebbison has two great chances to score!

First he gets in on goal and tries to dink one over Pickford, who makes the save. He gets on the ball again moments later, swivels and shoots, but there's a mass of blue shirts in the way.

Everton will be really, really disappointed with their first-half performance.

Where Sheffield United have shown an intensity which has been all too rare this season, Everton started slowly and only really asserted themselves in the last 10 minutes. While the visitors have Ramsdale to thank for going in 1-0 up at the break, they deserve their lead.

The second kicked off similarly as the first half with the same tempo from both teams.

Everything seemed to be moving in favour of sheffield united as planned until the 70th minute . ramsdale saves again!

Sigurdsson threads through Richarlison and, with the angle narrowing, he thrashes a shot on target. Ramsdale does well to push it round the near post.

Sheffield United could so easily be 2-0 up.

Stevens gets down the left unchallenged and finds McGoldrick five yards out. He turns and shoots, but it's deflected narrowly wide. Egan gets a free header at the ensuing corner, but it's blocked.

It's a defeat which will come as a crushing blow for Everton, whose European hopes are crumbling before their eyes.

Sheffield United can be delighted with a hard-fought win.
